Someone rang me pretending to be from a “home maintenance service”. When I asked why they’d be calling me out of the blue, she said it was just to see if I had any minor leaks or similar issues. I went along with it and told her I hadn’t noticed anything wrong at all. She just said “Alright, goodbye” and ended the call. I’ve heard about a scam where they start with something like this, but I’m not really sure how it develops into a scam from here. Still, this number seems connected to that kind of trick.

Received a dodgy phone call today. They were fishing for details about my property, pretending to be from a housing repair service or something similar. Quite the cheek, really!

Fraudulent activity detected.

I received a call (the line was barely intelligible) where the caller attempted to extract details about my property, including any potential damages. They claimed to represent 'Housing Repair' and insinuated they were there to resolve issues related to council properties.
However, when pressed, they would not disclose which organisation they purportedly worked for.
To top it off, I don’t even reside in a council property.

In summary, they were fishing for specific information about my home under the guise of legitimate business. Quite likely a precursor to a scam, or something more sinister altogether.
