somebody rang saying they were from first assist about a crash i’d been in. they claimed i’d been pre-approved for some sort of payout. they even had my name and the insurers for the driver who hit me. i asked where they got my contact details since I’m on the telephone preference service, and then they suddenly said they worked for admiral insurance. when i asked for a number to ring back, the one they gave didn’t match admiral’s at all. pretty sure it was a scam.

Got another dodgy insurance caller trying to pull a scam. Best just to block and report these pests straight away, no messing about.

Got a call from an unfamiliar number, didn’t pick up, just blocked it right away. Looks like it was probably one of those annoying ambulance chasers again.
