I’ve been receiving calls from this number claiming I need to pay £149.99 for their service to block nuisance calls. It’s getting quite vexing! Is there anyone out there who can help tackle these callers?

I received a rather alarming call this morning from this number. Some chap on the other end confirmed my name and postcode (N.IRELAND) and proceeded to inform me that I supposedly owed £149 as a final payment for their service, which was meant to block unwanted calls to my line. He insisted on processing a card payment right then and there, claiming it was overdue. I informed him that my son, who acts as my accountant, manages all my bills and suggested he send the information via post instead. I then promptly ended the call.

I’ve received a rather dubious message from these folks, asserting that I’m liable for £160 for their so-called call blocking service! Apparently, they boast about stopping 81% of nuisance calls. Quite the tall tale, isn’t it?
