Got a call from someone saying they were from my nearby post office, saying they wanted to team up and that a mate of theirs might visit tomorrow to pitch packages for our home care. Turned out it was just a telemarketer trying to scam me.

SCAM ALERT. Got a call from 02038 627880, a London number. The person on the other end claimed to be from my local Post Office, which isn’t even anywhere near London, it’s actually way out of the city. That was a huge giveaway right there. I just hung up straight away. Ridiculous.

I got a call from someone claiming they were with the post office, telling me about some new screens for my business that would cost £20 a week. Felt a bit fishy to me.

Got a call from someone named Portia claiming it was about the local post office. She said they’d recently put in a new screen, but it’s actually been there for a good three years now. When I told her that, she got a bit sharp and asked why I doubted her. I just cut it short and said I wasn’t interested, then ended the call.

I got a call from 02038 627880, this London number, and it was some really pushy woman claiming she was ringing 'for my post office.' Thing is, we live nearly 150 miles outside London. She went on a mad rant about trying to sell adverts in our local post office. If she was a telemarketer, she was unbelievably rude. I just hung up on her.

Got a call from 02038 627880, this woman was quite pushy, claiming she was calling for the Post Office, but we live like 150 miles out of London. She started going on about advertising options at our local Post Office, which made no sense. If she’s a telemarketer, she was really unpleasant. I just ended the call right there.

the bloke on the phone had such a thick accent i couldnt really catch what he was saying. he asked for the owner’s name but when i asked what the call was about, he just said he’d ring again later and didn’t leave a message. quite confusing really.

I received a rather strange call from someone claiming to represent a marketing firm out of Nottingham. He mentioned he was looking at my Facebook account and seemed quite eager to know who had originally set it up. He offered his 'assistance', but when I refused to divulge any details, he didn't seem very pleased at all. It struck me as quite intrusive, to be honest.

They kept ringing me again and again, but as soon as I picked up they just hung up straight away! Seriously, dont bother calling them back coz the number they use ends up charging way more than usual and will drain your phone credit. Pretty sneaky!

I received a rather cryptic voicemail seeking a quotation, but it lacked any specifics or a name. The caller requested a return call to the mobile number 07812010753. I tried getting in touch, but to no avail - no answer at all. Something about this seems off; my instincts are waving red flags.
