I usually just hang up straight away on these sort of calls since they’re either scams or I’m just not interested. But this time, I decided to push a bit and asked where they got my info from under GDPR rules and said I wanted to talk to their compliance team. Guess what? They just cut me off immediately. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.2 yearsI got a call from an Asian bloke claiming to be from Virgin Media/O2, saying they were giving a 20-30% discount on bills because of bad signal. He then handed me over to his boss, also Asian, who kept pestering me for my email to “check my account.” So, I flipped it on him and asked him for the first line of my address or my email instead. He clearly didn’t appreciate that and just hung up on me. Not long after, I got another call from someone called 'Peter' who insisted he hadn’t spoken to me before.
