They claim to be linked with EE - or whichever network provider you might use. Just a heads up - it’s a con! They promise all sorts of enticements like unlimited data, cheaper rates, and fancy handsets, but insist on an upfront payment of £30. They then say you'll get reimbursed after you receive the phone, while simultaneously fishing for your bank details. It’s worth noting that EE does NOT have any ties with these chaps. When I probed further about the necessity of the upfront fee and their request for bank information, the caller became rather abrasive. Their excuse about needing to set up a new direct debit didn't add up, especially since all transactions should be processed through EE. Instantly aroused suspicion! I requested an email for verification purposes and, let me tell you, the message I received was anything but legitimate - riddled with typographical errors and had a very dubious feel to it.
