I got a call from someone claiming to be Amy Jones at HMRC. They said I or my lawyer needed to ring back right away or there’d be serious trouble. This isn’t how HMRC ever handles things, clearly a scam. Don’t ever call these numbers back, just report it to the proper authorities. I tried to post the site where you can report these scams but it keeps blocking me. Just google ‘report hmrc scam call’ and you’ll find the right place.
