Got a ring from this number saying they were from EE, trying to convince me to switch to a "better" sim-only plan. Thing is, their so-called bargain was actually pricier than my current deal - which I managed to haggle down just last December. That’s when I spotted the scam. I went along with it just to mess about a bit before giving up.

I got a call from an Asian guy who was struggling with his English, trying to pitch a better mobile contract deal. He said he was with O2, but I’m actually with EE, so that was a red flag straight away. The offer he was pushing was just too good to be true, making me suspicious it was a scam. I looked the number up here and yep, looks like it’s definitely one of those dodgy network scams.

I haven’t actually answered any calls from this number, but since it kept ringing me a few times I figured it might be something worth checking out. After seeing what you said, I’ve decided it’s best to just block the number. Cheers for the heads up!

Someone rang pretending to be from Three with some brilliant offer. Since I was at home working today, I thought I’d mess about a bit and kept asking loads of questions about the "deal." I also told them that 2000 minutes isn’t really unlimited, but the person didn’t seem to get what I meant. After a while, I just got fed up and ended the call.

Got a call from an Asian guy who called me "ma'am" and said he was with O2. I told him I didn’t believe it since my phone flagged the number as likely spam and asked if he still wanted to go on with the call. He just ended it right after.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he worked for O2 and wanted to talk about my contract. Problem is, I’m not even an O2 customer - sounds like a total scam to me!

These scammers won’t stop! They keep dialling me, just messing with the last few digits of the number. I’ve had enough and blocked them.

I got a call from this number around 8.20 in the morning, but I didn’t even hear it ring and no voicemail was left. Then, just as I was coming back from a walk at 10:56, they rung again. The phone only buzzed about four times and stopped before I could grab it out of my pocket, so I never even had a chance to answer. Looking it up, I’ve already got this number saved in my contacts marked as “scam caller”.

I got a call from this number and was shocked by the amount of swearing they used. It's really mad. Seems like there's got to be better ways to protect us all and improve security. Just blocking the number feels like a quick fix that won’t last. So, it makes me wonder, what steps are really being taken to stop this kind of thing happening?

Got a call saying they were Virgin Media, saying I could get a 30% discount and a free present if I stayed on. I pretended to be interested until they handed me over to a ‘manager’. When she asked me for a 4 digit code they wanted to send, I told her straight up I’d checked the number and knew it was dodgy. Ended the call and blocked their number right away.

I got two calls from someone who said his name was Chris Martin, and he claimed he was calling from EE. The first time, I thought he mentioned Nectar though. He went on about something to do with my SIM card and then asked me to give him my personal details. Totally fishy if you ask me.

Got three calls from them, all wanting to find out my Vodafone bill. I said I wasn't sure and asked them to try again tomorrow after I'd talked it over with my missus. But no, they called back just a few minutes later and started asking about my bank details. That’s when I just ended the call - felt really dodgy.

Got a call from someone saying they were Jenifer at EE about my SIM ending in 091. She kept asking if I could hear her and if anyone was there, then asked what I had to say. I told her I use Sky for my phone, and she just hung up on me. Weird experience.

This was obviously a dodgy call, the guy had an Indian or Pakistan accent and said he was from some Borough in London. I kept telling him he was a scammer, and then he snapped back telling me to go to hell. In the background, you could hear other voices feeding him lines. Got it straight onto the blocked list.
