This number called my partner's mum, who's 76 and has dementia - and we actually got it all recorded. It's 'Charles' or whoever on the line. Does anyone know a way we can use this to stop these creeps for good? Would really appreciate any tips!

I keep receiving calls from this number, and every time I ask them to stop, they just hang up. They seem to have an accent that suggests they’re based in India or somewhere similar. It’s really quite frustrating!

Received a few calls earlier today; all I could hear was some static, and then they just disconnected. Odd, isn't it?

I received a rather peculiar call earlier. The woman claimed to be representing the NHS efficiency division and was quite insistent on speaking to the man of the household. She started rambling about fibreglass, which was rather odd, and to my surprise, she seemed to already have our name and address on hand. After a brief chat, she simply hung up on me. Quite the mystery, don’t you think?

Got a call where they wanted my address, said I was living in Somalia, and right away I got that typical 'Ugh, what an idiot' response. This is the second time they've rung me up, so watch out for these ones.

Hello! We've had a total of six calls from this number today, but there's really no need for us to pick up. Just a quick note: BT does a fantastic job of filtering out those annoying nuisance calls. I'd definitely suggest investing in BT phones since they automatically block those pesky callers. Cheers!

Got a call earlier about loft insulation, claiming to be from some government energy efficiency advice group. When I asked them about any official laws or guidelines, they clearly had no clue and just hung up on me. Sounds like just another dodgy call centre scam, trying to rip people off. Honestly, they should find proper jobs instead of targeting mostly older folks and trying to steal their savings. Hope karma hits them and their money disappears just like the ones they try to cheat.

Today I got a call from a bloke called Charles, who said he's an energy adviser for my area, talking about loft insulation. I asked for the company name but he just said "Options." When I asked where they're located, he mentioned Colchester. Beyond that, he wouldn’t say much until someone else, his diary manager David Collins, would call me back with the proper contact details and info about the company that’d actually do the job. So, it seems Charles is just working in a call centre, making calls on behalf of other businesses.

Just got a call claiming to be about energy savings but felt like a total rip-off. Pretty sure it was one of those dodgy scam calls trying to get your details. Watch out, folks!

He spoke quite clearly and seemed quite sure of himself, gave his name as Rhys and asked how I was doing before saying it’d be a brief chat about saving energy. He started by asking about insulation but I told him everything that could be done on that front was done already. Then he switched gears and tried to sell a free roof health check. I mentioned the roof had just been looked at and fixed not long ago. After that, he just gave up. Still, he ended up taking quite a few minutes of my time!

Someone called asking for Mr xxx, but I didn’t confirm I was him. I just asked who was calling instead. The bloke didn’t reply and just ended the call straight away. He spoke with a posh BBC-type accent so I reckon he lost interest when I didn’t say yes.

A guy with a clear voice called asking for my husband (Mr Surname), but we’ve never had anyone by that name here. I said there’s no Mr Surname and he just ended the call. I just got a call from some place called Options, said they were doing marketing stuff and that my husband had supposedly asked for their call. I told him he definitely hadn’t and that he wasn’t interested. Then they just hung up on me. We're registered with TPS so they really shouldn’t be phoning us. How are they allowed to do this? They’ve called a few times before as well.

Got a call from some bloke who spoke with a proper English accent and even knew my name and where I live. He claimed to be the energy advisor for my area and went on about how my loft insulation is apparently outdated. The whole thing felt really fake and rehearsed, like he was reading from a script. Pretty sure they’re ignoring the TPS list, because the number keeps popping up on my missed calls over and over - really irritating.

I keep getting calls from someone named Simon who says he’s with Options. Most times, he rings more than once a day. At first, he asks to speak to my husband, but I’ve told him my husband passed away. Despite that, he keeps pushing about loft insulation. I’ve told him to stop calling but he won’t listen. Now I just block the number or don’t answer if I don’t recognise it, which is a pain because if the phone isn’t near me, I have to get up and check who it is. Total annoyance.
