He tried to get me to verify my personal info but I didn’t bite and asked him twice which company he was with, then he just hung up. I was with my elderly mum and dad when they got a call. They’re on the TPS and struggle to answer the phone easily. I explained this to the person on the line, but they just ended the call. It’s so rude and probably against the rules - these types of calls really should be stopped.

Got a few calls stopped by Truecall, so I did a quick check on UKPhoneInfo, and yep, got good reason to be wary! Turns out this number isn't from any valid range. If you’ve been called by it, it’s probably someone faking their number. Ofcom’s records say numbers beginning 0203846 are actually blocked from being given out. When numbers are taken out of use, they usually stay blocked for around two years. Looks like a trick for data grabbing or some scam, so watch out!
