I was waiting for an Amazon delivery that had some alcohol in it, but I wasn’t home when they arrived. The driver couldn’t just leave the parcel in a safe spot. At that moment, my Ring doorbell rang and then my landline showed a call from this number. When I rang it back, it turned out to be Amazon. I guess they were trying to let me know the driver couldn't drop off the package without someone over 18 being there to accept it because of their alcohol rules.

Got a call just now claiming to be from Nationwide Building Society about PPI. My brother-in-law used to be a manager there and he told me Nationwide never offered PPI. Just a heads up to watch out for this.

Just had a call from this number shortly after I finished a conversation with Nationwide Building Society. It popped up as if it had originated from them, but I didn't pick up since I was overseas and my Pay as You Go credit is rather thin at the moment. Curious, I decided to ring the number back, only to be met with some garbled chatter regarding Amazon, complete with an American twang. Quite odd, really!

It's definitely Barclays! Simply reach out to them via your app, and they'll send you a notification to verify their identity. This should clear things up nicely!

Got a call from 02038460095 but it came up on my phone as 02073656004, which is Barclays' number. Don't be fooled, it's a scam and not actually Barclays ringing.

I received a call from this number but chose not to pick it up since I was busy at work. After glancing through the comments on this site suggesting it could be a scam, I then received an email from Amazon stating that they had delivered a package I was anticipating (although it was meant to arrive yesterday, but that’s neither here nor there). So, who knows? It may actually be on the level, or it could all be dodgy.

This number belongs to Barclays, but don't try returning calls to it. It seems like it's a part of a larger network, probably shared with various other firms. I suspect the calls are being managed through Amazon's business services. If you need to get in touch, you should instead use their 0800 number.

I recently received a parcel from Amazon, and the delivery driver mentioned that he had attempted to ring me. It appears my number was directed to this line, which seems to be some sort of standard contact point for telemarketers.

I encountered a suspicious call claiming to be from Barclays Bank. They had my first name and the name of my business, which was a tad concerning. They insisted on transferring me to their security team. However, when I rang Barclays myself to verify, I discovered that no one from their end had reached out to me at all. Quite dodgy, I must say!

I received a call from someone who knew both my first name and the name of my business, claiming to be from Barclays Bank. They insisted on going through a security check before disclosing the so-called "problem." I decided to cut them off and said I’d get in touch with my account manager. Unsurprisingly, when I reached out to Barclays, there was absolutely no problem at all.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Barclays, saying they needed to verify my details for security. They actually knew my first name and where I work, which threw me off a bit. But when I rang Barclays myself afterwards, they told me they hadn’t called me at all. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

I've no idea whether that call was on the level or not, but the person claimed to be from GoPro regarding a camera replacement. Coincidentally, I was in the midst of swapping out my camera, yet the whole conversation seemed dodgy, particularly when they requested my credit card details. One would think GoPro has a more secure method for processing payments-so I promptly hung up.

I received a call from someone alleging to be from Barclays, and she introduced herself as Fiza. She claimed to represent their fraud department and insisted that I verify my identity before she could divulge any information. When I pressed her to provide my first name to confirm her legitimacy, she flatly refused, insisting I had to clear some security checks first. After a couple more inquiries on my part, I decided to cut the call short and said I’d reach out to Barclays directly via my banking app instead.

These chaps are masquerading as Virgin Media representatives, fishing for three digits of your password. They keep ringing until they've pieced together the whole thing. In my experience, they were trying to find out if I fancied having the technician come round sooner for the installation. Quite the persistent lot, I must say!
