I just had a rather alarming call from 02038430598 a short while ago. It was a recorded voice claiming to be from HMRC, insisting that I press 1 to connect with an officer or face imminent arrest under a warrant. I ended the call straight away. Please don’t be deceived or pressured by calls like this, whether it's from this number or any others; it’s a blatant scam. Engaging with them could lead to demands for quick payments to these con artists to supposedly evade arrest. This is certainly not the procedure HMRC follows!
