I've been receiving calls from this number lately, and to add to my confusion, I’ve just received a letter stating that I owe them money-after five years, no less! I must say, I’m thoroughly baffled by the whole situation. Having scoured through some comments on this site, I’ve come to the conclusion that it's best not to contact them or share any of my bank details with what could very well be scammers. Better safe than sorry, I reckon!

Be wary of RateSetter; they appear to be trying to swindle unsuspecting individuals out of their hard-earned cash. It's best to keep any personal details to yourself and steer clear of them entirely!

I recently received a text informing me that my direct debit payment had failed and needed to be reprocessed on the 28th of November, 2017! The odd thing is, I don’t even have a direct debit with them anymore. I did have one in the past, but that balance was cleared ages ago! This must surely be a scam!

I had an issue with my direct debit to Ratesetter as I completely overlooked the date it was due. After missing it, they reached out to me via a phone call followed by a text message informing me of when they’d attempt to take the payment again. It was a proper, friendly communication.

I keep getting frequent calls from this number.

I received a call from that number earlier; it was Ratesetter. Since I've already got a payment arrangement sorted out, I decided to block the number.

Just a heads up, everyone-this is clearly a fraudulent operation. There’s nothing official about it! Under no circumstances should you share any of your banking details or make any payments to these individuals. Stay safe!

I just had a letter drop through the letterbox from Rate Setter, claiming there’s some sort of outstanding balance linked to my account - but I haven’t the foggiest idea what it’s regarding! I attempted to ring the number provided, only to find myself waiting endlessly on the line. Eventually, I left a message outlining my predicament, but alas, no one has got back to me. I thought I’d give emailing a go since the voicemail suggested it as an option; regrettably, I received a response saying they’re swamped with emails and advised calling instead. This whole situation has got me quite anxious, to be honest!

I just got a rather alarming letter from Rate%Setter.com, referencing the phone number above. It claims that I’m behind on payments totalling £14.21. The thing is, I’ve never taken out any loans or entered into any agreements that would require me to repay anyone! I’m at a complete loss here-any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated!

I've had a right conundrum with Ratesetter lately. They keep sending me messages about unpaid loan instalments, but when I check my account, it clearly states that my loan has been settled. It's rather baffling, to say the least!

I recently got a letter claiming that I have an outstanding payday loan totalling over 564 pounds. The strange thing is, I've never applied for such a loan or possessed this amount. I'm quite at a loss about what my next steps should be. Any advice on how to handle this would be appreciated!

On the 3rd of March 2016, I received a text from UK Mail stating that my Giffgaff delivery would arrive at 10:06. Then, three days later, on the 6th of March, I got another message from RateSetter, thanking me for taking out a loan with them to purchase a Giffgaff phone, and informing me that a direct debit was now set up for monthly repayments. Fast forward to 4th April, and I was told that £24.74 would be collected via direct debit. Then, on 19th April, I received a rather concerning message, urging me to get in touch at 02038419950 regarding my account. Finally, on the 27th of April, yet another message insisted that I contact them promptly to discuss the repayments on my loan. I’m quite worried, as I’ve never owned a Giffgaff phone-could this all be a scam? The number in question is 020 3841 9950. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
