I’ve built up quite a collection of phone numbers recently, including this one, which I’ve saved on my phone as SCAM. Whenever calls come from this name, they get sent straight to voicemail. The annoying bit is they keep popping up with new numbers all the time. Now, I don’t pick up any unknown 020 numbers unless I’ve looked them up first. I’m signed up with the Telephone Preference Service for both my mobile and landline, but these callers just don’t seem to care about the rules or the law at all.

So I was just chillin on my phone watching Ben Phillips when suddenly my phone kept ringing non stop from the same number. I was really scared even tho I’m only 8, felt super worried. I called my Dad straight away and told him what a rubbish day I was having. Then later at 1:42, I got another call from them and I was like, seriously?! When I got home, I checked my missed calls and saw it again, and thought maybe it was Dad trying to call me? I was honestly freaked out after that.

Got a call from this number claiming I’d been in a car crash in Preston, which is bizarre because I live over an hour away from Aberdeen and wasn’t anywhere near Preston. Just a heads up - if you get a ring from this number, best not to pick up or call back. It’s definitely some sort of scam trying to con money out of people. Some woman called me, said my name was Anita MacFarlane and claimed I’d had an accident. Absolute rubbish! I rang the number back and asked straight for Miss Anita whatever-her-name was, but the person on the line kept claiming she wasn’t free. Surely there should be some legal way to stop this kind of pestering. And seriously, how do these people get hold of our numbers? Anyone else reckon we should try and get a petition going?

About 20 years back, I was in a terrible crash where I ended up crashing into a nursery, sadly causing harm to three little ones and a pregnant woman. This number just tried to FaceTime me! They called my mobile initially, then switched to FaceTime. It's clear what they're up to. I've told them multiple times that the so-called accident they’re mentioning happened nearly a decade ago - the car was parked and empty at the time. It's not even around anymore since it was a mobility vehicle. I've had to explain all this to them at least ten times by now!

I accidentally hit two elderly people whilst driving a car I'd taken without permission. I've been dealing with PTSD and was told I might have a decent shot at making a claim. Hoping for the best, keep your fingers crossed for me, I'll share what happens later.

Just got a call a minute ago. I could tell it was rubbish so my mate took the phone and said, "job's done! I've buried the body." Heard a shocked intake of breath then they hung up straight away. Pretty sure they’re not ringing back lol.

I got a call from Action claims bureau saying I was in an accident but I honestly haven’t been in any. When I asked them where they got that info from, they just dropped the call. Sounds like a scam to me. If it was genuine, they’d surely clear things up. Don’t have time for this nonsense, moving on to bug the next caller now!!!

Today, my young daughter received a rather concerning phone call regarding an alleged car accident she was supposedly involved in. When I intervened and took the handset from her, explaining that she’s only 10 years old and that it’s illegal to make unsolicited calls to a minor, the callers weren’t too pleased about it. Quite alarming, really!

I got a call once saying, “There’s been an accident, but it wasn’t your fault.” It was an actual person on the phone, thankfully quite polite too. I told them it wasn’t true and asked to be taken off their list. They apologised and promised to delete my number. Honestly, compared to the other stories I’ve read here, I had a pretty decent run-in with those accident claim callers!

Got a call from some place called Action Claims on my phone. I picked up since I have a couple of mates from work with the same dialling code. They began talking about a car crash I supposedly had recently - which is rubbish as I don’t even have a car or any insurance. Told them my boss, who’s with the Police Cyber Crime Unit, wants a proper chat with them. They promptly hung up on me! Total SCAMMERS! Blocked their number straight away.

Got a call earlier from 020 3841 2845, saying I’d been in some sort of accident. Since my number’s on the TPS list, I asked where they got it from. They just hung up straight away. I’ve tried calling back about eight times to find out where their office is and how they got my details (thought I’d give them a taste of their own medicine). The best excuse they gave was that they’d got my info from police records! Obviously, I told them that’s rubbish and said I’d be reporting them to the police if they were really accessing that stuff.

Received a call at 8:36 in the morning on 31st October 2015 regarding a supposed accident that never occurred. I messaged them back, clearly stating that any further attempts to contact me would lead to a report being filed. Given I've had my fair share of challenges lately, particularly just five weeks after a moderate stroke, this is nothing but a bothersome nuisance and seems to be a fraudulent operation. It's high time that something was done about these companies!
