I received a call from 02038410329 on the 18th of January. I entered a competition and paid £1.99 for delivery. They got me to subscribe to a wordsearch booklet that was supposed to be £14.99, but I haven’t received anything! I've since blocked the number through my bank. It really seems like a scam to me. I advise against signing up! Does anyone happen to know the name of the company behind this? Cheers!

Just like a lot of others said, it’s crazy that they’d want your bank details just to send you a prize! No way I’m handing that info over. I’ll happily miss out on that puzzle book, cheers all the same.

I've had calls from this number on a few occasions, at all sorts of times throughout the day. Since I don't know who it is, I usually just ignore it and don’t pick up.

For the past couple of days, I’ve noticed this number has given me a ring twice, both times leaving me with missed calls. If it happens again tomorrow, I think I’ll pick up to find out who’s on the other end. Should my hunch prove correct, I’ll make sure to keep everyone in the loop. Cheers!

I’ve no clue who rang me from 02038410329, anyone know?

I keep getting calls from this number, and now they’ve even started ringing my home phone. It's really starting to drive me up the wall!

I recently received a phone call claiming that I'd won a complimentary word search book along with some lottery tickets. Initially, I was swayed by the woman’s pitch, especially when she mentioned that I had apparently guessed the correct word from a television contest that I had entered. To add to the intrigue, I had even received a letter indicating my entry into the final draw. However, the moment she mentioned a £1.95 delivery charge, I sensed something was truly amiss. I refrained from sharing any personal banking details and promptly hung up. Following this, I reached out to the word search company directly, and the representative I spoke with confirmed that while they aren’t a scam, I should have been informed that it was a subscription service at £7 per month after the initial £1.95 fee! I’m relieved I didn’t provide them with my information and truly hope others don’t fall victim to this ploy.

I received a call informing me that I had made it to the finals of a competition. They asked if I'd be interested in purchasing a word search book along with twenty lottery tickets for just £1.95. They insisted that I was still in the running for the prize!

+44 20 3841 0329 kept calling me, saying I’d won a £7,000 prize. It all sounded pretty convincing so I played along at first. That was until they asked for my bank info to cover a £1.95 delivery charge. This number’s been blowing up my phone for weeks now. Honestly, don’t trust these people!

I received a call asserting that I had taken part in a competition on the 28th of December, and apparently, I had the right answer which qualified me for the final. The caller then requested a payment of £1.95 to send some word search books and lottery tickets my way. I made it clear that I don’t share card details over the phone, to which she casually replied that I was still in the final and all was well. Quite the cheeky encounter, really!

What a load of rubbish! I took part in a TV competition after seeing an advert on ITV, and they claimed I was a finalist for getting the answer correct. But then they asked me to cough up £1.95 for a word search puzzle? At first, it all seemed rather credible, but the moment I mentioned I wasn't willing to hand over my personal details, they turned all shifty and bizarre!

some woman rang sayin i’d won a prize, already had my address and wanted my bank details for a £1.95 postage fee. she was spouting all that nonsense about being regulated by the FCA, but when i told her i actually work there, she got all flustered and couldn’t even say what company she was with, just kept going on about being “legit coz they advertise on itv”. steer clear of these scammers!

02038410329 - this number called me claiming i'd won a prize in an itv word search contest, just like someone else mentioned. they even quoted my answer, proving they knew exactly what i'd entered. what freaked me out was that they seemed to know my exact address, which is surprising since my postcode covers a bunch of homes. then the caller asked for £1.90 to cover postage for a "bonus" puzzle book, saying i could pay with visa or mastercard. i told them i wasn’t interested in the prize after all and they hung up.

This number keeps ringing me like 3 or 4 times every week. I just ignore it now and have gone ahead and blocked it.

I've filed an official complaint with the Advertising Standards Authority regarding my experience, as well as the experiences of others who've participated in the competition. This number has been ringing my phone daily since last week, and it's already bothered me twice today alone. I refuse to pick up. If more individuals take the time to voice their concerns, there's a greater likelihood that the Advertising Standards will take action against this company, potentially putting an end to their advertising altogether.

I took part in a TV wordsearch contest and got a letter today saying I've been put into the draw and can enter again. This number has rung me a few times today, but I ignored all of them. I'm going to block it now.

Somebody rang me up saying I’d won a prize along with lottery tickets, but then they asked for my bank info to pay for the postage. Definitely steer clear of that!

I experienced something similar myself! Initially, I thought the call was genuine since I had taken part in the original competition. I'm absolutely furious that ITV either permitted a fraudulent competition to feature in their adverts or that there’s been a breach, as they seemed to have my details fully intact-my name, postcode, and even the answer to the competition! It’s quite distressing, to say the least!

I've asked the lady to quit ringing me loads of times but she just keeps coming through. They keep changing the extension so now I can't even block it properly - I've already blacklisted the number once before.

I can relate entirely! I decided to take the plunge and sign up for a contest on behalf of my elderly mum. Honestly, I’m relieved I handled it instead of leaving it to her; goodness knows what could have gone awry! It's quite shocking that ITV permits such practices.

Got 4 missed calls from this number like the others. When I finally answered, they told me I’d made it to the finals of some word search comp happening at the end of Feb. The caller asked what I'd do with the prize money and I said I'd take a long break from my job as a police officer. Then, just like that, they cut the call. O20.

Got a couple of calls about some TV competition, sounded fishy. They asked for my bank info, so I just hung up. Definitely seems like a scam to me.

I had a similar experience! I received a dodgy call regarding some TV contest, then they wanted my card info to send over a wordsearch book. I declined and they mentioned they'd ring me again. Super relieved I decided to check the number first - it’s getting blocked without a second thought!

I got a ring from 020 3841 0329 telling me I'd bagged a £7,000 prize from some telly puzzle contest I supposedly took part in. They wanted my bank info to send the winnings over. When I asked if they could send the money via bank transfer instead, they refused. I even offered to cover the postage myself, but they weren’t having any of it. Honestly, it sounds like a total scam because any proper company would have no issues with that sort of arrangement.

Just got a call claiming I was entered into some TV word search competition with a chance to win £10,000. They also said I’d won a free word search book but needed my bank info to cover postage. I said no thanks and explained I don’t share bank details with strangers. Definitely sounds like a scam to me!

I got a rather peculiar phone call not long ago, claiming that I had triumphed in a wordsearch competition I supposedly entered. The caller excitedly informed me that I’d won not only a wordsearch book but also 40 lottery tickets! However, when it came to the delivery, they insisted that I fork out for the postage through Royal Mail. No way am I parting with my bank details for that! Cheers, but I’m not falling for it!

I got a call from this number but they just went quiet and hung up. Tried ringing them back but it popped up saying the number doesn’t exist. Weird!

I recently took part in a competition broadcasted on ITV and received a letter today confirming I've guessed correctly, along with another word search puzzle to tackle. Not long after, my phone rang from this number, informing me I’d been entered into yet another draw, with a chance to snag more word search books and lottery tickets for a chance to win £25,000. At first, I thought nothing of it, especially given the timing of the call. The woman on the line was pleasant enough and requested my card details, which I politely refused. However, to put my mind at ease, I decided to return the call, and unbeknownst to them, I overheard her engaging in a rather colourful chat about Manchester United. I searched the number online and landed here to gather further insights from others. I truly appreciate everyone sharing their experiences and helping me realise this might indeed be a scam.

I recently received a rather dubious phone call about a supposed TV contest, where it was claimed I’d entered a draw and had won a whopping 22 complimentary lottery tickets. The catch? They insisted that I had to send these off with prepaid postage. Upon expressing my suspicion and asking if they would require my credit card details, the gentleman on the other end seemed rather unfazed and asked, quite dismissively, why that would be an issue. I replied, quite frankly, that I didn’t have my card at hand. Shortly after that, the call was cut off rather unceremoniously. This feels very much like a scam - exercise caution!

Received a message saying I had won a television competition (really?), and that my reward was a whopping 20 lottery tickets. Then they had the cheek to request payment for postage. What an absolute farce!

So, yesterday I got a call from this number telling me I'd won a competition because I supposedly gave the right answer. They then wanted my bank details to cover postage for some wordsearch book and to send free national lottery entries. Has anyone else had the same sort of call?

Yesterday, I had a rather peculiar phone call in which I was informed I had triumphed in a competition, supposedly winning a complimentary word search book alongside a whopping 40 lottery tickets! They went on to say that I’d also be entered into a grand draw taking place at the end of February, with a chance to snag a prize of £25,000. All they needed from me was a modest fee of £1.50 to send out the book and those lottery tickets. I promptly informed them that I had no interest in the word search book, and didn’t even ponder why I’d pass on 40 free lottery tickets. It’s astonishing that such an advert made it onto prime time telly without any scrutiny. I strongly advise against sharing your card information; it’s likely to be misused later on.

I’m not entirely sure how to label this call, but I chose not to pick up. It appears to be from a television word search competition by Churchcastle, which used to go by the name Wynnington. If you'd rather not receive any more promotional correspondence or calls from them, you can unsubscribe by dialling 0808 206 4380. Just a heads up, that might be a premium rate line! Alternatively, you can send a written request to P.O. Box 143, Rye Harbour Road, Rye, TN31 9GF. 😊👍

I received a call during my work hours, and the person on the line informed my wife that I had won a word search contest featured on television. However, she had no clue I had entered such a competition, so immediately dismissed it as a scam. Later, when I returned home, I decided to try ringing the number back, but it just rang and rang with no answer... It's clear to me this was nothing more than a dodgy scheme!

I recently received a rather intriguing phone call claiming I was among the finalists in a television contest I had taken part in. They wanted to charge me £1.95 for postage on a complimentary book and a batch of twenty lottery tickets. However, I have no intention of handing over my card information to an unknown caller. So, it's a firm pass from me!

I chose not to pick up the call, as I had taken part in that word puzzle contest aired on ITV during the ad break last week. It seems to be quite similar to what others have mentioned. It makes me ponder whether ITV realises they’re promoting a service that might be deceiving their audience during peak viewing hours. I’m seriously thinking of flagging this to Watchdog! I reckon more people should do the same.

I received a rather suspect call recently, claiming that I had correctly answered a word search puzzle on the telly and that they needed my card information to post me a book on word searches. Naturally, I politely declined-there's no way I’d hand over my banking details to a complete stranger on the phone! I'm convinced this is nothing but a scam.

Indeed, I was informed that I'd participated in a contest on the telly, which I had indeed entered. However, they went on to ask for my card information to cover the shipping costs for a complimentary word search book I supposedly won. The book itself was free of charge, but they were keen on charging for the delivery, so I opted to err on the side of caution and refused their request.
