I received a call from 02038410329 on the 18th of January. I entered a competition and paid £1.99 for delivery. They got me to subscribe to a wordsearch booklet that was supposed to be £14.99, but I haven’t received anything! I've since blocked the number through my bank. It really seems like a scam to me. I advise against signing up! Does anyone happen to know the name of the company behind this? Cheers!

Just like a lot of others said, it’s crazy that they’d want your bank details just to send you a prize! No way I’m handing that info over. I’ll happily miss out on that puzzle book, cheers all the same.

I've had calls from this number on a few occasions, at all sorts of times throughout the day. Since I don't know who it is, I usually just ignore it and don’t pick up.

For the past couple of days, I’ve noticed this number has given me a ring twice, both times leaving me with missed calls. If it happens again tomorrow, I think I’ll pick up to find out who’s on the other end. Should my hunch prove correct, I’ll make sure to keep everyone in the loop. Cheers!

I’ve no clue who rang me from 02038410329, anyone know?

I keep getting calls from this number, and now they’ve even started ringing my home phone. It's really starting to drive me up the wall!

I got a call saying I’d won some free lottery tickets and a word search book. At first, I thought it could be real because the lady mentioned I’d picked the correct word in a TV competition I’d actually entered, and I’d even got a letter saying I was in the final draw. But she then said I’d need to pay £1.95 for postage to receive the prizes, and that’s when I got suspicious. I didn’t share any bank info and just hung up. Later, I rang the word search company and they told me they weren’t running a scam, but apparently it’s actually a subscription service costing £7 per month after that initial £1.95 fee! Glad I didn’t hand over my details and hope others don’t get caught out by this trick.

I received a call informing me that I had made it to the finals of a competition. They asked if I'd be interested in purchasing a word search book along with twenty lottery tickets for just £1.95. They insisted that I was still in the running for the prize!

+44 20 3841 0329 kept calling me, saying I’d won a £7,000 prize. It all sounded pretty convincing so I played along at first. That was until they asked for my bank info to cover a £1.95 delivery charge. This number’s been blowing up my phone for weeks now. Honestly, don’t trust these people!

I received a call asserting that I had taken part in a competition on the 28th of December, and apparently, I had the right answer which qualified me for the final. The caller then requested a payment of £1.95 to send some word search books and lottery tickets my way. I made it clear that I don’t share card details over the phone, to which she casually replied that I was still in the final and all was well. Quite the cheeky encounter, really!

Total rip off! Joined this TV contest from an ITV ad, got told I was a finalist ’cause I answered right, but then they wanted me to cough up £1.95 for some word search thing? It all seemed legit at the start, but the moment I said no way to handing over my info, they just turned super dodgy!

some woman rang sayin i’d won a prize, already had my address and wanted my bank details for a £1.95 postage fee. she was spouting all that nonsense about being regulated by the FCA, but when i told her i actually work there, she got all flustered and couldn’t even say what company she was with, just kept going on about being “legit coz they advertise on itv”. steer clear of these scammers!

02038410329 - this number called me claiming i'd won a prize in an itv word search contest, just like someone else mentioned. they even quoted my answer, proving they knew exactly what i'd entered. what freaked me out was that they seemed to know my exact address, which is surprising since my postcode covers a bunch of homes. then the caller asked for £1.90 to cover postage for a "bonus" puzzle book, saying i could pay with visa or mastercard. i told them i wasn’t interested in the prize after all and they hung up.

This number keeps ringing me like 3 or 4 times every week. I just ignore it now and have gone ahead and blocked it.

Last week this number started ringing me every single day, and it's already buzzed twice today. I never pick up. I've sent a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority about what happened to me, and it sounds like quite a few others who joined the competition have had similar issues. Hopefully, if enough folks complain, the advertising watchdog will take action and stop this company from promoting themselves like this.

Somebody rang me up saying I’d won a prize along with lottery tickets, but then they asked for my bank info to pay for the postage. Definitely steer clear of that!

I had a very similar experience. I actually took part in the legit competition so thought the call was genuine at first! Honestly, I’m really annoyed because either ITV let some dodgy scam run alongside their ads or the competition itself got hacked, since they already had my personal details like my name, postcode and even the correct answer I gave.

I've asked the lady to quit ringing me loads of times but she just keeps coming through. They keep changing the extension so now I can't even block it properly - I've already blacklisted the number once before.

Oh absolutely! I signed my mum up for a competition since she’s not too tech savvy, and honestly, I’m relieved I handled it instead of her dealing with it alone - could’ve turned out a right mess! It’s awful that ITV just lets stuff like this slip through.

Got 4 missed calls from this number like the others. When I finally answered, they told me I’d made it to the finals of some word search comp happening at the end of Feb. The caller asked what I'd do with the prize money and I said I'd take a long break from my job as a police officer. Then, just like that, they cut the call. O20.

I got a ring from 020 3841 0329 telling me I'd bagged a £7,000 prize from some telly puzzle contest I supposedly took part in. They wanted my bank info to send the winnings over. When I asked if they could send the money via bank transfer instead, they refused. I even offered to cover the postage myself, but they weren’t having any of it. Honestly, it sounds like a total scam because any proper company would have no issues with that sort of arrangement.

Just got a call claiming I was entered into some TV word search competition with a chance to win £10,000. They also said I’d won a free word search book but needed my bank info to cover postage. I said no thanks and explained I don’t share bank details with strangers. Definitely sounds like a scam to me!

Got a call saying I’d won some kind of TV word search contest I apparently took part in. They said I’d bagged a word search book and 40 lottery tickets, but then claimed Royal Mail wanted me to cover the postage cost. Nah, I’m not giving them my bank info, no way!

I got a call from this number but they just went quiet and hung up. Tried ringing them back but it popped up saying the number doesn’t exist. Weird!

I entered a competition on ITV and just got a letter today confirming my answer was right, plus another word search puzzle to complete. Then, bizarrely, I had a phone call from this number saying I’d been put into another draw with chances to win more wordsearch books and lottery tickets worth £25k. At first, I didn't think much of it as it seemed like a funny coincidence to get the call on the same day. The lady on the phone was quite polite and asked for my card info, which I refused to give. Later, I decided to ring back to check, and without realising they were still on the line, I overheard the woman talking casually, swearing and mentioning Man United. I’ve now looked up the number and found this site with loads of comments warning about scams. I’m grateful for everyone sharing their experiences and confirming it’s probably a con.

I got a call saying I was entered into some TV contest and given 22 free lottery tickets, but I had to send them back with postage paid. When I asked if they were gonna want my card info, the bloke just asked why that was an issue. I told him I didn’t have my card handy. Then, the call just stopped suddenly. 100% a scam, watch out!

Received a message saying I had won a television competition (really?), and that my reward was a whopping 20 lottery tickets. Then they had the cheek to request payment for postage. What an absolute farce!

So, yesterday I got a call from this number telling me I'd won a competition because I supposedly gave the right answer. They then wanted my bank details to cover postage for some wordsearch book and to send free national lottery entries. Has anyone else had the same sort of call?

Yesterday, I got a call saying I’d won a free word search book and 40 lottery tickets, plus a chance to enter a final draw in late February with a £25,000 prize. They wanted me to pay £1.50 for postage, but I told them I wasn’t bothered about the book at all. What’s daft is they never even asked why I’d refuse 40 free lottery tickets! It’s pretty worrying this kind of ad is allowed to run on prime time TV without any proper checks. Be careful and don’t hand over your card details - they’ll end up getting misused for sure.

Not quite sure what type of call this was, so I just let it ring out. It came from a TV Wordsearch competition run by Churchcastle, which used to go by the name Wynnington. If you want them to stop sending you ‘offers’ or any other messages, you can opt out by dialling 0808 206 4380. Just a heads up, this might be a premium rate number. Alternatively, you could pop a letter to P O Box 143, Rye Harbour Road, Rye, TN31 9GF. Hope that helps! 🙂👍đŸŊ

While I was working, they called my wife claiming I’d won some kind of word puzzle contest from a TV show. She didn’t even know I’d entered anything like that, so she told her straight away it sounded like a con. When I got back, I dialled the number they left, but it just kept ringing with no answer... no doubt about it, a total scam!

Just got a call telling me I’d won a spot as a finalist in some TV contest I supposedly joined. They wanted me to pay £1.95 for postage on a ‘free’ book and 20 lottery tickets. Yeah right, there’s no way I’m handing over my bank details to some random person. No thanks, I’ll pass.

I never picked up the call, but I did enter that word search contest they had on ITV during the ad break last week, so sounds like this is connected to what others have said here. Makes me wonder if ITV realises they’re promoting a company that’s actually scamming people watching during peak time? I’m definitely going to flag it to Watchdog. Everyone else should probably do the same.

So, I got a phone call telling me I’d won or got the right answer on some TV word puzzle and they asked for my card info to send me a word search book by post. Didn’t fall for it and said no way to giving my bank details to some unknown caller. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

They said I'd won a competition on TV which I did enter, but then they asked for my card info to cover postage for a "free" word search book I supposedly won as well. The book itself was free, but the postage had a charge. I decided to say no just to be on the safe side.
