Just like someone mentioned here a few weeks back, I got this automated call supposedly from HMRC warning me about some tax issue and saying I should press 1 or face arrest. Glad I saw that earlier comment because this one felt way more intense than the usual scams. Definitely a dodgy call trying to scare you.

This number rang me and an automated voice claimed it was from HM Revenue and Customs, saying I had tax issues. It told me to press one to sort it out, but also warned that if I didn’t, I’d face arrest. Out of curiosity, I pressed one to see what would happen, but then the call just ended. I’ve got no tax troubles, so pretty sure this was a scam.
