This morning, my landline rang with a call from an individual who clearly had no business knowing my bank details. The chap, with a South African accent, purporting to be from the fraud department of my London bank, mentioned an address that turned out to be the BT offices at 81 Newgate Street. Quite suspicious, if you ask me! It didn’t stop there; I received a couple of calls from him. When I probed for a supervisor to escalate the matter, he claimed he didn’t have one. The call originated from an international number beginning with 003. Just a heads-up, folks-stay vigilant!
