Got a robotic message supposedly from HMRC. I didn’t catch the whole thing, but it was something about important papers they sent back to me not filled out, and now they’re threatening legal steps or something!?

Got a voicemail saying it was HMRC, saying they’d sent me a letter about starting legal steps against me. I hit option 1 to speak to an agent. When a lady answered, she asked why I called. I told her she was the one who rang me. She then asked for my name, and I replied that if she’d sent a letter, she should already know it. Then she just disconnected. Absolutely awful methods meant to frighten and trick people who might be more trusting.

I usually don't pick up if the number is unfamiliar, so no clue why they rang. Probably just some pesky call.
