Claimed to be from ATC regarding a cover for my washing machine. Oddly enough, I've never owned a cover for it! When I probed him about how he stumbled upon my name and number, he abruptly hung up. Apparently, he was from ATC, or so he insisted!

I received a call regarding the ongoing coverage for my washing machine, even though I was well aware it had lapsed quite some time ago. When I mentioned that I had the relevant documents and wasn't interested in renewing the policy, the caller abruptly disconnected. He claimed to be from ATC! - caller: ATC

Had a right peculiar experience with a caller who claimed they were inquiring about our washing machine. I kindly reminded him that he was dialling a business line that's registered with the Telephone Preference Service. He then had the audacity to ask what type of business we operate-I sorely wish I had replied that we're a washing machine repair shop! Instead, I told him that it was none of his concern, and can you believe it? He got a bit cheeky with me!
