Kept saying they weren’t selling anything, but all they wanted was to convince me to change my insurance to some sort of care plan for later. Rang me loads of times, so in the end I had to block the number.

My phone rings multiple times a day, but I choose to let the answering machine handle it now. Thankfully, I have caller display which helps me identify the numbers. Whenever I used to answer, it was always someone trying to conduct a survey. The person had poor English skills, making it hard to understand them. They simply refuse to accept a "no" as an answer. On one occasion, when I asked them to stop calling, they insisted that they would only stop if I completed their survey, which only ended up leading to more unwanted calls. They have become a true nuisance.

When I asked why they wanted to come round, they just kept going on about a “free” survey with no pressure. I told them to remove my number from their calling list and then they just hung up.

Received a call around half-past three from a lady speaking English. She gave me a rather alarming heads-up about the Government possibly seizing my house to cover costs if I ever ended up in a care home. She proposed that someone come round to talk to me about it. The caller claimed they had recently chatted with him (he might have, but with his dementia, he wouldn’t recall). They said they could assist with wills and trusts. When my father-in-law tried passing the phone to me, the caller just hung up. I tried calling back, only to reach a generic voicemail saying "Your call is important to us, please hold for the next available operator," but there was never anyone there. My elderly parents have received repeated phone calls from a suspicious individuals using this number. These callers have been insisting on discussing power of attorney with them, in addition to attempting to set up on appointment for someone to visit them. Fortunately, my dad declined their offer as he was not interested. However, I find it utterly appalling that these individuals are deliberately targeting vulnerable people.
