They claimed to be from O2, saying they needed to update my software and would send a new SIM card. Total scam. Weird thing is, they even managed to send me a text with a code on my official O2 messaging app, then tried to get me to give them that code plus my email. BE CAREFUL! It can easily trick you into thinking they're legit O2 staff because of that! I rang O2 straight away and they confirmed it was a con job. If you’re unsure, always ask for their details and ring O2 directly to check who you’re really speaking to.

Got called by them twice, but when I answered, it was just some silence and a voice repeatedly saying “hello” over and over. So I just stayed quiet and let them keep going for ages, haha. If they wanna be pestering me, I’m happy to mess around with their time a bit as payback! 😆

FRAUD ALERT: I encountered a deceptive scenario where an individual, with an Indian accent, claimed to represent O2. This person cunningly asserted that they possessed my banking information. To validate their claim, I requested the details, resulting in the suspicious caller hastily terminating the call.

I got a call from +44 20 3829 5285, and the +44 made me think it was meant to be from the UK, but I reckon it's a dodgy call centre overseas. Some bloke with an Indian accent claimed he was from T Mobile. I knew right away it was a scam since I’m not a T Mobile customer. I told him I wasn’t interested and that I thought he was working for a scam call centre in India. He kept pushing for a bit, but when I kept saying no, he got rude and told me to shut up before just hanging up on me. Honestly, I feel sorry for anyone more vulnerable who might fall for these con artists.

Received a call from someone claiming they were with Virgin Media O2, saying my SIM would get blocked and they needed to send me a new one. They kept asking for my email to ‘confirm my info’. Problem is, I’m not with Virgin or O2 at all. The person on the phone got really annoyed and started swearing when I said no, then just cut the call. Definitely a scam.

This number called me claiming to be from O2 and offering a 20% discount on my bill! I played along for a bit, but I don’t even have an O2 contract. They said they'd send me a link by email to activate the discount. Then, they asked for my email “just to confirm.” I told them they must already have my email if they were legit, so I wasn’t giving it out. I told them it was a spam call since I’m not an O2 customer. Right after that, they hung up!

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming she worked for O2 and was trying to give me a 30% discount compared to my usual phone company. When I told her I thought it was dodgy and that I wasn’t interested, she sounded a bit irritated. She kept pushing me a bit more, then just cut the call out of the blue.

Total spam. They say they’re O2 and your SIM card will stop working soon. When you ask who they are, they even send a fake “confirmation code” text pretending to be from O2 UK. But they can’t tell you who they’re actually speaking to or what your plan is, claiming it’s “for security reasons” or something like that.

Got a call from this number claiming to be O2, saying I could get 20% off my monthly bill. When I asked for info, she didn’t have any of my details like a real O2 rep would. Then she tried to 'connect' me to a supervisor to approve the discount - total scam, definitely not O2.

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from O2, attempting to deceive me into believing that I would receive a 20% reduction on my monthly bill. Interestingly, this person did not possess any of my personal information to verify my identity. When I mentioned that I would prefer to visit a physical store to avail the offer, rather than having her connect me to her supervisor who allegedly had the authority to authorize the discount, she displayed severe impoliteness. It became apparent that this was unquestionably a scam.

A phone call was made to my child's device by someone claiming to be from EE. They requested me to verify my email address, but when I inquired about which email they had on record, they insisted that I provide the information first. I informed them that they were contacting a child's phone and attempting to carry out a fraudulent scheme. This startled the caller, but they subsequently attempted to obtain the details of the main account holder. I terminated the call and blocked the number after conducting an online search, discovering that they are no longer pretending to represent O2.
