I never understand why when they leave a voicemail they never tell you where they’re calling from. It’s always just a vague "hello" or they ask if you’re “so and so” but never actually say their company or reason. I just block them now, because a real company will at least say who they are without even needing to use your name.

For a while now, Choice UK has been ringing me to try and update my address details. The first time, they called from the mobile 07691671759. I mentioned I was busy at work, but the caller kept insisting I answer a few quick questions. When they asked me to confirm my address, they actually used my old postcode, which I haven't lived at in over a decade. I refused to give my current postcode, and the caller got quite agitated. I told them to remove me from their list, but they said since I’d wasted their time, they wouldn’t do that - and then just hung up on me. Just now, I got another call from an 0203 number and as soon as I said hello, they dropped the call. Properly rude behaviour!

Picked up the call and the person sounded quite polite, they werent trying to sell anything but wanted to ask me a few questions. I told them I wouldn’t answer until they explained what it was about. They hung up straight away, now they’re blocked. I get calls like this all the time and I never share my info on the phone. This should really be looked into and reported properly.

i usually dont answer calls from numbers I dont recognise. this 020 area code keeps ringing me loads of times at different points throughout the day. i've seen it pop up under loads of different numbers too, think I've counted about 20 so far. everytime I check who it is, then block the number straight away. it's really annoying and feels like harassment. the government should really make the phone companies update their rules so that caller ID actually shows the company name. these calls are such a pain and never stop. best to just ignore them cos once you pick up they know you’re there.

I picked up and heard a woman giggling on the other end, and she kept laughing even after knowing someone had answered. She talked so quickly, still chuckling, that I barely caught what she was trying to say. At one point, she mentioned she wasn’t trying to sell me anything. That just set off alarm bells for me, so I ended the call straight away. Yeah, she’s definitely not looking to sell me anything - more like a dodgy scam.
