I never understand why when they leave a voicemail they never tell you where they’re calling from. It’s always just a vague "hello" or they ask if you’re “so and so” but never actually say their company or reason. I just block them now, because a real company will at least say who they are without even needing to use your name.

For quite some time now, I’ve been having a bit of a run-in with Choice UK regarding my current address. It all kicked off when they gave me a bell from a mobile number, 07691671759. I mentioned I was at work and couldn’t chat, but the chap on the other end insisted I spare him a moment to answer a few quick queries. After finishing the last one, he expectantly asked for my address, but he misquoted my old postcode-a place I haven’t set foot in for over a decade! When I firmly declined to provide my new postcode, he sounded rather miffed. I asked him to remove my name from their database, and to my astonishment, he claimed that because I “wasted his time,” he wouldn’t do so and promptly hung up. To top it off, I just received another call from a 020 3 number; when I picked up, they hung up straightaway. Utterly disgraceful behaviour!

Picked up the call and the person sounded quite polite, they werent trying to sell anything but wanted to ask me a few questions. I told them I wouldn’t answer until they explained what it was about. She then launched into a rapid-fire dialogue which was quite hard to decipher, her giggles making it all the more tricky. I distinctly caught her mentioning something about not attempting to sell me anything. At that point, alarms were ringing in my head, so I promptly ended the call. Well, you're absolutely right; you certainly won't be selling me a thing!
