D Williams So, someone rang saying it was about my appliance warranty, which I honestly dont have. Seemed to me they were just fishing for my personal details. I reckon that makes them pretty risky folks to deal with. Plus, I swear, if I ever accidentally give the same abuse to someone legit by mistake, that’d be a nightmare!

Got a call from 02038270315 early this morning (Wednesday) about 7.30am. Just silence, probably some sort of automated robot since no one answered. Who on earth rings you that early? Legit companies wouldn’t be calling at such a ridiculous hour. Total scam for sure. Honestly, they should be shipped off to the middle of the Antarctic during winter and left there. Maybe then they’d quit bothering us.

I got a call from a woman named Kim, it was about a washing machine warranty or something. When I asked which company she was from, she just talked over me. Just got a call from this number about 5 minutes ago. It was a woman claiming my washing machine warranty was up, which is obviously not true. She knew my name too, which was kinda creepy. When I asked what company she was with, she wouldn’t give me a straight answer. I told her she was trying to scam me and to stop wasting my time. Then the call just cut out. Classic scam alert - watch out for this one!

These were the first scammers I’ve come across that actually got past my iPhone’s silent mode, which is pretty clever. I think their auto dialler rang me and hung up after a few seconds, then tried calling from the same number again pretty quick, like half a minute later, until I finally picked up. But I guess there wasn’t anyone on the other end ready to speak ‘cos it just disconnected after around 5 seconds. On my iPhone, if a number calls back twice within a short time, it skips silent and actually rings, so that’s probably why I got caught.

I received a call from this number recently. I’m quite accustomed to receiving a barrage of scam calls, especially since I’m involved in the stock market and doing quite well for myself. I suspect this might be a firm known as CMC Markets or perhaps a security outfit like TOTAL AV, which I had paid to help curb those pesky cookies on my computer. In hindsight, it feels like a complete waste of funds-a right dodgy lot of scammers, if you ask me!

Got a ring from this number at 1.45 in the afternoon on Tuesday the 19th of October. When I asked who it was, some bloke told me my washing machine warranty had expired. Well, he certainly called the wrong person - I only just got a new washing machine this week, the old one stopped working ages ago and the new one isn’t even registered yet. I quickly told him goodbye and that was the end of it, no more calls since. Looking it up here, it’s been reported about 156 times for “domestic appliances” scams. Seems like a pretty rubbish scam attempt to me.
