Got a message saying it was from Evri, saying I had a parcel on its way but they said the delivery info wasn't complete. The English was really bad. I marked it as spam and blocked the number straight away.

Twice I got a call with a recorded voice saying it was from HMRC. I rang HMRC today to check and they said they had no idea about that message or any service like that.

Got a call from some automated thing, kept saying warning over and over that I had problems with the Inland Revenue. They told me to get in touch with them, but I just ended the call. Definitely a scam.

so my girlfriend received this call with a dodgy automated message pretending to be from hmrc, asking her to ring back. when she did, some bloke with an indian accent told her she owed a £400 fine and if she didn't pay up, police would get involved. she played along but hung up once he told her to go ahead with payment lol. the scary part was he already had all her info like her address, dob and name.

Got a call claiming to be from HMRC and it felt dodgy. Checked with my accountant who said HMRC always send proper letters by post first. If it’s something serious like legal action, they’d actually ring you and use your full name, plus talk about details only you’d know. So definitely a scam call!

Has anyone received a call from this number? I’m curious to know if it’s genuine. They claim to be HMRC and say I’m due a refund, but they’re asking for every single one of my card details to process the payment. I’ve had a glance at my HMRC account, and there’s absolutely no notification about a refund, plus they don’t even have my mobile number registered. It all feels a bit dodgy to me. Any thoughts or experiences to share? Thanks a lot! B

Got a ring the other day pretending to be from HMRC - this kind of thing is definitely dodgy and unlawful. Make sure to keep any proof and report it straight to OFCOM and the ICO.

I picked up the phone and the call just dropped straight away.

I got a voicemail from some supposed Inland Revenue rep saying they're looking into something and to ring a certain number. Total scam, no doubt about it.
