This number just rang me up today. The connection was awful, I could hardly catch what the person was saying. He got really annoyed because all I kept hearing was him going on about my company name and mentioning VAT over and over. I ended up hanging up after telling him I couldn’t hear a thing. He kept going as I ended the call. Bloody nuisance call if you ask me.

I've just received a call from this number and it seems like I've had a few over the past couple of weeks. I chose not to pick up, and to be honest, I’m now adding them to my blocked list as well. They didn't even bother to leave a voicemail, which is rather odd.

I got a call from an Asian guy talking about the government offering support for council housing folks affected by Covid neglect. He said I just needed to answer a few questions and share some personal info to get assistance. When I asked what department he was from, he couldn’t give me a clear answer. I then asked if he was with the local Harringay Council, and he said yes. Thing is, I don’t even live in London. So, I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

This bloke with barely any English called sayin he was from the housing about some repairs (I actually own the place). He told me to stop using the speaker and not to share the call with a mate (I was on my own but had a laugh at him). So I played along, gave him a right earful in proper colourful British slang, told him to stop messing about and hurting people, shouting as loud as I could. Following up on my previous post about the woman ringing me who didn’t even seem to know which borough I live in. some bloke with a foreign accent called, said it was to do with council house fixes. the line was really poor and i could barely understand him. since i was already waiting for a repair inspection, i figured it might be legit. but then i saw the 02 number and got a bit iffy about it.

just got a call from some bloke who said his name was james. he was talking about damage related to the council and housing associations, not things for home owners. apparently the council and housing groups keep 10% of the rent to fix up the place. coz of covid, some repairs might not have been done.

got a call earlier today from someone saying she was from the housing dept. asked if me or anyone i knew had any repairs needed. told her nope, i didn’t, and no idea about anyone else. figured my housing association (bromford) wouldn’t ring from a london number without saying exactly who they were. plus if i had any problems, i’d just contact them myself, no need for a random call.

He said that due to covid-19 the government was giving out compensation for people living in damp or mouldy houses. Then he asked if i was still at a fake address with a fake postcode, clearly trying to get me to say the real one. I didnt fall for it. When i called him out for scamming, he told me i could ring to check it out - this is classic scam stuff and you’ll just end up chatting to some other con artist. So i just hung up.
