On 29th August 2020, I got a call from 02038 186 330. A woman on the line asked if she had reached a specific individual. I didn't know the voice, so I didn’t confirm either way and instead asked her who she was and what the call was about. She told me something about my cooker insurance running out. Felt off to me, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from these lot yesterday, same old story trying to push insurance or extra warranties for appliances. They rang from a different number this time though. From what I’ve heard, the scammers are based somewhere in India or Pakistan, using robocalls and making it look like it’s a proper UK number. There’s some good videos on YouTube and Twitch by kitboga that explain exactly how they pull this off. Such a pain!

08/05/2020 3:48pm - from 02038186330 - This caller kept pushing even after i said i thought it was a scam. He kept going on about some insurance for a fridge warranty but couldnt give me any info about the fridge's make or model. I mentioned i was recording the call and would report it to the cops. He said he had the householder's name (never really confirmed it) and claimed it was about an expired fridge warranty. When i asked what company he was from, he said Home Appliance Serve. But when i wanted to know where they were located, he just hung up on me.
