Got a call from someone claiming to be with Carphone Warehouse (though Google showed the number as Royal Oak). They said they were calling from London, but the accent was definitely Indian. It was a total cold-call trying to push mobile phone deals on me, even though I’ve never been a customer of Carphone Warehouse. When I mentioned my number was on the TPS list, the caller seemed a bit shocked, and then suddenly hung up halfway through our chat. Quite rude, really.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Carphone Warehouse, but when I looked the number up, Google said it was Royal Oak. The guy sounded Indian and said he was calling from London. It was a random cold call trying to pitch mobile phone deals, even though I’ve never dealt with Carphone Warehouse before. When I told him my number’s on the TPS list, he seemed caught off guard and ended up hanging up on me partway through.
