This woman phoned me four times, and I told her I couldn’t catch what she was saying. She claimed to be from a National Energy Company, talking about some issue with my bill. I said there wasn’t any problem and refused to give her my meter reading. I also mentioned I had no interest in a smart meter and that she was just cold calling. Even though I asked them to stop calling, they kept ringing. Seemed like a scam to me, so I didn’t share any info.

They keep ringing me non stop and won’t accept that I’m not changing my provider. Told them a million times already!

Got a call from some woman about E-On and renewing something, but I couldn’t make out a word she said. She rang me back four times straight after, kept going on and on. I had to hang up three times because it was impossible to understand her. She wasn’t very polite either.

Got a call like this myself, and the bloke had an Indian accent I'd heard before on that YouTube you get, PettyPranks or summat. Knew straight away it was one of them dodgy scam calls. He said he was calling from Eon, so I just told him: "We're not with Eon, you muppet, so jog on and take your Indian nonsense elsewhere!" He proper lost it after that, didn’t know what to say.

I got a call from someone with a foreign accent who said they were ringing on behalf of Eon, the energy company. But I'm pretty sure that wasn't legit.

This number keeps ringing us up daily, especially when our restaurant is packed. We always have to pick up, just in case it's a customer. It's really frustrating and feels so unfair that we have to deal with this all the time!

I run a restaurant and this number rings every day, especially when we’re super busy. Even though it’s just annoying, we still pick up 'cause we wonder if it might be a customer. It’s really unfair that we gotta deal with this!

So, I've been getting a few calls from someone named Muhammad Ali who claims they're from the "Gas and Electricity Company" - quite the precise name, I must say. He rang my shop loads on Saturday and then kept at it today, trying to convince me to switch to their supposedly better prices. Honestly, it's getting pretty annoying now.

This woman had a strong accent and it was tricky to get what she was saying. We told her we didn’t want anything and she argued with us, so I just hung up. She called a couple more times after that.

Got a call from this number, sounded like someone with an accent trying to sell me a 25% off deal for electricity. Since it rang on my work phone, I told them the boss likely wouldn't want it and asked if they could take us off their contact list. They flat out refused and said, "No, I won’t." I mentioned that might catch the attention of Ofcom, and the caller just told me to “ring the cops” instead. Strange convo!

Received a call from a bloke named Charlie claiming I’d been overcharged on my meter and they needed my reading to swap it out. When he asked me to verify my info for data protection, I told him to prove who he was first since I only knew he was “Charlie.” He sounded a bit irked. I decided to ring up National Grid, and just as I thought, it was a total scam. I’m planning to report it to both the fraud team and National Grid come Monday. It’s awful someone’s trying to con folks like this - they’d be better off finding a proper job instead of pulling these stunts.

Got a call from the national grid station asking for a meter reading. Told them I’d already sent it in about three days back and if they needed it again, they were welcome to come and take a look themselves. The bloke just said “fine, have a good day” and then ended the call.

They keep ringing me loads every day. Just today, someone said they were with the "National Grid Station," claiming my meter wasn't working properly and asked me to take a reading for them. I said no and hung up. Then they phoned straight back, all annoyed that I’d ended the call. I'm on the TPS list, but it seems like it makes no difference to them!

Got a call a few weeks back from someone claiming to be with N Power, and when we said we weren’t interested, they started being really rude. They rang again yesterday, still saying they were from N Power and were just as nasty on the phone. Then today, someone else called saying they were from the National Grid association and that there was an issue with my meter. My husband explained he works for Scottish Power and the meter’s absolutely fine, but the caller just shouted at him and called him a bloody liar. Proper awful behaviour!

I’m getting calls from this number a few times a day, like 2 or 3, and I just ignore them now. Been on the Telephone Preference Service for ages, so not sure why they keep ringing. It’s really annoying and quite upsetting how impolite they sound. Can anything be done to make it stop? Feels like harassment at this point.

Scam alert! Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from the energy company I’m with now, saying we had to swap our meter. When I asked which supplier we have, he hesitated and said “NPower” - I told him that’s wrong and then just ended the call. He tried ringing me back immediately but I didn’t pick up.

Totally clueless here. I struggled to catch what he was saying - had to ask him to say the same thing about five times. It was some grumpy guy from Asia with an accent I couldn’t make out, telling me my Smart meter wasn’t functioning right. When he asked if I owned the business, I put the phone down. I do own it, but my contract’s just domestic through Utility Warehouse anyway. Pretty certain they’d get in touch if something was up.

I got a call from this number claiming to be National Grid, saying they’d been checking my meter and that I was being charged too much. They talked about swapping in a new meter and all that. Then some Asian accent came on the line, really pushing and hassling me. Honestly, this company and their shady tricks need to be stopped! When they rang again, I picked up and told them straight up that their first call was a load of rubbish and to jog on!

Some bloke called saying he was from Eon energy. I told him I wasn't interested and hung up. Then he called back right away, all annoyed, so I just let him ramble on for about 5 minutes without saying a word. They've been ringing me loads recently, and it's really starting to get on my nerves.

So this woman picks up the phone and i jokingly tell her i want a blowjob and ask what company she works for, i said pomhub. She says alright, let me get my manager. I quickly say hang on a sec... (pause) and then say i love you. She just snaps back “shut up :/” and then ends the call! Honestly, that was pretty rude of her!

I just kept answering in a silly voice cos I suspected it was some sort of scam call. Then they went on asking if I was deaf, and I said yeah. I was trying not to laugh by then, and they shouted something like "are you stupid?" I just said yes again, and then they ended the call.

Like others here, I got hit with extra charges. I told Calum I wasn’t buying his story, but he insisted I call back and speak to the service department. The number he gave me, 02081330221, looked suspicious so I checked it out and turns out it's a scam. Watch out for that one!
