When I picked up, I didn’t jump straight into talking. The person sounded foreign and started by asking how I was doing. They claimed to be from some government department and said there’s a new grant available for gas boilers. But from what I know, the government is pushing for heat pumps, not gas boilers anymore. Something about it didn’t feel right to me.

Free boilers, yeah right. Sounds too good to be true because usually they hit you with massive labour fees for installing some rubbish boiler that breaks down all the time plus pricey warranty charges way more than what you'd pay for a really good boiler done properly and looked after by British Gas. Honestly, these lot are probably just after your bank details so they can drain your account and vanish. Those so-called ‘green’ deals they promote seem pretty dodgy if you ask me.

this number kept ringing my phone four times then just stopped. i decided to do a quick search online and saw loads of other people saying the same thing. i called back the number from my blocked list, and it rang but then an automated voice said the number wasn’t active anymore. based on what i’ve read and what happened to me, this seems like a sketchy tactic to get someone to respond for dodgy reasons. that’s why i labelled it as ‘dangerous’.
