They kept pushing for my card info and got really rude when I said no. Honestly, don’t get caught out by these people.

They’re really pushy, calling me multiple times every single day. This has been going on for a couple of years now and hasn’t stopped. Somebody rang claiming to be from a home service, trying to pitch cheaper deals to my 93-year-old mum. I told her not to answer or engage, and thankfully she listened. What a dodgy scam that was!

Got a call back on 18 May 2022 from a London number. They said they were from some building repair firm, but sounded dodgy, like a banking scam. Definitely blocking them.

Got a call from 02038139099 about my white goods insurance being overdue. They kept telling me I’d been paying for it for 5 years with my HSBC card, but the card had supposedly expired. Problem is, I don’t even have an HSBC account. They did know my name and postcode though, which was a bit creepy.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the Citizens Advice Bureau, saying I need to pay a monthly fee to sort out my debts. I’ve already contacted the real Citizens Advice, and they assured me everything’s being handled properly and there’s no cost involved. Definitely a scam trying to trick you into paying!
