They kept pretending to be three and their emails were full of errors. I asked them several times for the details on my account but they just wouldn't answer and kept lying. Seriously, don’t trust them.

They called me saying I qualified for an upgrade and then started asking for my details. When they mentioned £50 I just ended the call. At first it sounded legit but definitely watch out.

I received a call that appeared to be from some promotional team, pushing various offers my way. They were asking a few questions that honestly didn’t seem to connect at all to any phone contract. Quite puzzling, really!

Got a call from someone claiming to be EE with some offer about upgrading my phone for £35 a month. Sounded dodgy to me because they didn’t know any details about my actual phone or anything personal. Surely a real EE rep would have that info, right? I rang EE myself to check and was told it was a scam. Lucky I didn’t share any of my details. They kept ringing me, so I just blocked the number in the end.

I got a call from a bloke named James, saying I’d been picked for some amazing deal - just a single payment for a 2 year plan, and they’d chuck in a brand new iPhone 14 along with a SIM. Seemed a bit fishy, so I told him I'd ring back later. He then gave me another number to call, 020 4042 836. I decided to ring Three myself to check if this was legit and they told me straight up that the number wasn’t theirs and they hadn’t contacted me. Definitely a dodgy one.

They told me it was 3 Mobile and offered a new phone with a two year contract for just £19. But when I went into the 3 shop nearby, I realised it was a scam. Definitely don’t share any info, especially your bank details!

I got a call from this number after they tried ringing me twice from 07442 903946. When I spoke to the lady on the mobile, the signal was awful, and I barely caught what she said. Then, she rang me back on a landline. As soon as I saw the 020 area code, I suspected a scam. I'm pretty sure they're using loads of mobile numbers because heaps of people recognise that 020 number has been flagged. Never give your personal info or bank details to cold callers. You'll just end up getting scammed or tied into some unwanted contract. If you do share your bank info, you can bet they'll start taking money from your account.

They claimed to be from 3 and sounded pretty real at first. But when I looked closer, there were loads of grammar mistakes that gave it away. I'd seriously tell anyone to cancel their bank cards straight away and get in touch with the fraud department.

Got a call on my mobile, number 07987 151797, from a woman saying she was with Three. My contract's up for renewal and she mentioned she was working in Promotions. I was struggling to understand her clearly, and she kept asking about my contract details. I told her Three would already have that info on their system, but she insisted she couldn't access it. Eventually, I said the line was bad and ended the call. She promised to call back from a landline, but when another call came through from the same number, I checked online and saw it flagged as suspicious. Thanks to everyone for sharing this number so I could avoid a scam.

Got a call claiming to be from Three saying I qualified for a free upgrade plus 40% off. They asked for my email but I couldn’t give my iCloud one. Seems really dodgy to me, so I’m not dealing with them anymore. Don’t trust these people, I’ve blocked the number to avoid getting more calls. Thanks for the heads up!

This number keeps ringing me up, pretending it’s from the phone provider 3. They tell me I’m a valued customer and can get a free upgrade. They even asked about my phone type and how much my monthly bill is. Seems dodgy to me.

I kept getting calls from like six different numbers, all trying to convince me to take some "free" upgrade deal on my Three plan. They were pushing hard, even tried to shorten the contract period to tempt me, but I wasn’t interested. Still, they wouldn’t take no for an answer and kept ringing me over and over again.

Got a call from 'Three' claiming they could sort me an upgrade, but I didn’t have to leave my current network. When I asked who I was actually with, they just kinda brushed it off and said they partner with all providers. They emailed me some “details” that had my name and network totally wrong, asking for a refundable £39.99 fee to get this upgrade. The deal was £28 a month for a Samsung S22 Ultra with unlimited stuff - which I already own! I kept saying no, but he wouldn’t take no for an answer. Proper annoying.

Got a call from someone saying they were from 3, but I’d actually just switched away from them, so I figured maybe it was legit. They asked for my name and after I gave it, the woman put me on hold for ages. She kept repeating my name like she wasn’t sure, which got annoying, so I ended up hanging up. Then, annoyingly, they rang me back twice more on two different numbers right after.

I’ve had calls from this “call centre” a few times over the past couple days, definitely feels like a scam. They used different numbers like 020 3813 8607, 07442 135648, and 07444 827369. I spoke to three people and none of them seem to be linked to each other at all.

Had a couple of calls from them recently. Just a heads up - be careful when you get unexpected calls offering deals. Legit companies, banks, or even HMRC never ask for your bank info over the phone! Best thing to do is look up the number before you answer or say you’ll ring them back later. Then you can check the number they used and call the official customer service line from the company’s website. If the offer’s genuine, the company will confirm it when you contact them directly. Don’t let anyone pressure you into handing over personal details on the spot.

I got a call from someone claiming they were from Three. At first, I didn’t want to go through their ID checks, so I just ignored the calls. But they kept ringing. Eventually, I called them back and someone actually answered! Next thing I know, money has been taken from my bank. Then, out of the blue, I got two iPhones and O2 SIM cards delivered by courier. When I rang the number again, they picked up and said it was a glitch in their system, apologising for the mix-up. They even sent me a Royal Mail prepaid return label, which made me think they were legit. Since then, though, they’ve gone quiet and I haven’t heard a thing ☚ī¸

So I got a call from someone claiming to be from Three, like some special deals and discounts dept, saying they had this exclusive offer: £18 a month for an iPhone 12 Pro Max. The connection was awful, so I asked if they could ring me back the next day. Later, I rang up Three myself to check it out. Turns out, they told me there was no deal like that and it wasn’t even an official Three promotion! Proper sketchy if you ask me. đŸ˜ŗđŸ˜ŗ

I've just had a rather suspect phone call from a call centre based in India, posing as the network Three. Had loads of calls from people pretending to be Three, saying I could get an upgrade. They seemed to know a lot about me already but then went on to ask how long I’d been at my current address and wanted my bank info plus the 3-digit code on my card. I told them no way and ended the call. Since then, they keep ringing me multiple times a day from all sorts of numbers. I reckon they might actually be from Currys Mobile because I got an email from them, and it wasn’t from Three’s proper address. Definitely not one to trust!
