Dont pick up the phone, just block the caller and in a few days you get a call from a close number. I just ignore and block the new number too.

They kept asking if I was the one paying the bills for my place, if I had a dual fuel deal with British Gas, and whether I paid by direct debit or something else. I just went quiet on them, let the silence drag on for a bit, then hung up after about four minutes of no response. Of course, they called straight back, so they're blocked now. If I wanted to switch suppliers, I’d be the one to make the call, thank you very much.

Got a call from some company called Spark Energy, never heard of 'em before. The woman on the line said she wanted to offer me a better deal on my energy bill. Once I told her I wasn't interested, she started getting quite nasty and raised her voice. I hung up immediately and have now blocked the number.
