Been getting calls loads of times over the last couple days, but I never answer. Seems like a lot of scam calls. Wondering how they even got hold of our number in the first place.

the number was unfamiliar to me so i just let it ring out and picked up the phone before my voice message kicked in. i have this message playing that says i’m on the do not call list and i never pick up calls from numbers i don’t know. anyone spamming me should just hang up right away. if it’s a genuine call, they need to say who they are and the reason for calling, then i might pick up if it sounds okay. this setup has worked pretty well so far.

some bloke rang saying my washing machine warranty was finished. i just said he’d have to wait till the missus got back from her shift in 2025! he hung up straight away. ha-ha.

When I didn’t answer straight away, they just said goodbye and hung up right away!

There was a bit of a pause before someone spoke when I picked up, which immediately felt off. A guy’s voice I didn’t know came through, so I just ended the call.

Someone called me, mentioned they were either TS or TFS - I can't really remember -, talking about a washing machine policy. I told them I didn’t have one and they just ended the call straight away. Felt like they were probably checking if the number was active and maybe confirming details like my name and address before handing it over to someone else.

Loads of times a day my landline rings from numbers I don't recognise. I haven’t figured out how to block them yet, so I just leave it to ring. It does get pretty annoying after a while.

Got a call from someone claiming they were from TSS about my washing machine policy ending. I mentioned the machine actually needs fixing, and she said she'd send the info to the engineers. Bit odd though, since I never had any policy on the machine. Definitely sounds fishy to me!

some guy named chris rang me from what he claimed was 'tss', some dodgy domestic appliance insurance firm. he began jabbering about a washing machine and whether it was alright. i just told him straight up to hang up and go find himself a proper, legit job instead!
