I had a caller who spoke English pretty well and sounded quite clear at the start. They tried to persuade me with some kind of 3 or 4 year extension deal for my washing machine. When I asked for details by email or a letter, they flat out said no, like it was some rule not to send anything in writing. They wanted me to decide immediately over the phone. Oddly, they knew my name and address but had no clue about the machine’s model or how old it was. They ended up saying they’d call me back the following day.

I said I was an elderly bloke and even gave them my pin, but they just ended the call. Guess that’s another chance to make some money gone down the drain.

Some bloke calling himself “Charlie” from tss gave me a ring, asking after someone who used to live here and happens to have the same surname as me. I was just about to figure out whether he meant me or the old tenant, but then he just cut off the call. Proper impolite if you ask me! Looks like he was after the old resident, no doubt.

Someone reached out, saying they were reviewing the state of my washer since my insurance was nearly up for renewal! The odd thing is, I haven't had any coverage on it for quite some time, yet they had my full name and postcode! Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Phoned me up trying to get me to renew the washing machine warranty but as soon as I told them no, they just ended the call straight away.
