I received four calls from this number just this morning, and even after blocking it, more seem to emerge! In this day and age, surely there ought to be a robust method to track down these wrongdoers and hold them accountable. It’s concerning to think about those who might be more susceptible-individuals who may not be fully aware of the lengths to which scammers will go or how technology has facilitated all sorts of nefarious activities.

Got a call from someone claiming to be David, said they were from my internet provider but had a pretty thick Indian accent. When I told them I wasn’t signed up with them, they just told me to buzz off. Quite rude really.

For the past three days, this particular number has been ringing me a minimum of three times daily. I’ve been sending the calls to voicemail, and the messages I receive are quite alarming, claiming that a lawsuit is on the horizon and urging me to press 1. 'Lawsuit' strikes me as an Americanism, leading me to think it’s likely some foreign scam attempt. I've since taken the precaution of blocking the number.

This morning, on the 2nd of August, I got a rather unsettling call from the number 02038089380 at around 11:15. The voice on the line, or perhaps it was a recorded message, claimed that I was under investigation by HMRC customs, urging me to get in touch with a case officer concerning some imminent action. I first missed the call, as my voicemail picked it up initially, but I managed to catch part of the message later. The caller seemed to imply they were connected with HMRC customs, which sounded pretty dubious to me.

I thought it best to share my experience, as I suspect we've encountered a rather dubious new scam. I received a call from 02038089380, which turned out to be an automated message purporting to be from HMRC Customs and Excise. They claimed they needed to discuss a potential lawsuit against me. Curiosity got the better of me, so I pressed 1 to connect with a so-called case officer. I spoke to a lady of Asian descent who, it was quite clear, hadn't a clue who I was. I ended the conversation after informing her that she had dialled the wrong number. Just a heads up to everyone out there; I’m convinced this is nothing but a scam! - caller: 02038089380

This morning at precisely 11:32 on the 2nd of August, 2019, I received a rather peculiar call from the number 02038089380. As soon as I picked up, the line just went dead. However, I did get a strange electronic message left on my BT 1571 service, claiming that I was facing prosecution and that there was some case lodged against me. The voice sounded robotic and pretty muddled. The first message was something like “press 1 to talk to your place? case? officer,” which didn’t really come together.
