Seems like they’re calling just to check if someone picks up, so they can later bombard you with spam or pass your number onto other spammers as 'active'. Best thing is to just block them right away! Those spam calls are the worst!

Not sure who was ringing, but they seem to be dialing numbers at random. My missus picked up my mobile and told them she’d ring back later. When I tried calling back, probably hoping for a mate in London, the line was always busy. So I checked this website and found loads of folks have had annoying calls from the same number. Looks like a total scam to me. Even though it shows as a London number, these scammers can fake their caller ID, so the call could’ve come from anywhere, maybe India or somewhere else. Cheers, Mike.

Normally I don't pick up numbers I don't know but I was expecting a really important call so I took it. Some guy named Michael said he was from Boost and he wanted to chat about my gas and electricity direct debits. I said no thanks and hung up. Then I went ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from this number asking for someone I don’t know, told them they’d got the wrong digits. Then today, another number called looking for the same person and even sent texts. I ended up blocking both numbers. Initially, I thought it was just annoying, but then felt it might be risky since they kept trying different numbers to reach that person. This number seems less reported than the other though. Anyway, both are blocked now.
