On the 15th of May, a rather unsettling trio of phone calls reached my elderly mother, who is 87. The caller, claiming to be Jason from Microsoft, had the same style, accent, and tactics that I’ve noticed others report below. I couldn’t help but assume that the remark suggesting all comments are part of a smear campaign likely originates from the scammers themselves. Their audacity is quite shocking, to say the least!

0203 8082712 appears to be inactive, but I must say, it's the finest tech support firm I've encountered for addressing all sorts of problems. I’ve personally used their services and can wholeheartedly recommend them to others too!

There’s really nothing negative about this number; it seems the unflattering remarks have been made by a few individuals intent on tarnishing its image.

I received a call from a chap named "Mark Jones". It truly baffled me, as I've never encountered an Indian-accented person bearing that name before. Even after we explained - quite honestly - that we don't possess a computer or laptop, he remained on the line for over five minutes, insisting we were in danger and that he was merely trying to assist us. He claimed to represent a company called IT Support Limited and something along the lines of Online Technical Support. He provided this number for us to reach him, yet, unsurprisingly, when we tried to call back, it was completely inoperative.

It seems that this lot is based at 14 Hanover Street in London. A chap named Peter Williams presents himself as the supervisor.
If this indeed turns out to be a con, one has to wonder why the authorities haven't been alerted yet, don't you think?

I received a call from someone with an Asian accent who insisted they were calling from Microsoft. When I inquired about the number they were phoning from, they provided me with this one. They urged me to turn on my computer so they could assist me with some supposed issues. I had to contend with them quite a bit when I declined their offer.

I encountered a similar issue myself. I decided to act irate with BT, claiming my internet was down and lo and behold, they cut the line! Clearly just a bunch of con artists!

I received a call purportedly from a ‘Jessica Marslay’, claiming there were urgent issues with our computer and asked my wife to comply with her instructions. Curiously, the number displaying on the caller ID was 01840075749.

It seems I’m inundated with around three daily calls from various outfits claiming to be from “Microsoft” or “Windows” technical support. The voices usually sound distinctly Indian, and they invariably try to persuade me to install apps such as TeamViewer or TidyThePC-those are the latest culprits, by the way. This deluge of unsolicited calls used to occur frequently, then they dwindled for a spell; though I still noticed missed calls with no voicemails left. Nowadays, I tend to pick up and let them prattle on about their schemes without ever actually logging on to my computer. My little tactic? To keep them chatting for as long as I can, feigning confusion and asking them to repeat themselves. It’s a rather enjoyable way for me to spend the time in my retirement, and I like to think I’m doing my bit to reduce the chances of scamming those who might be more susceptible.

I've received three calls from this number this morning, claiming to be from tech support. Their manner was rather forceful, even threatening to disconnect my computer services if I dared to end the call. To make matters worse, they rang back twice in rapid succession, despite my requests for them to stop. Ridiculous! - Martin Bruce!!

So, this bloke who goes by Alex Martin decided to ring me up. I hopped onto my tablet's Command screen and spotted the licence number he mentioned. When I probed into how he got my digits, he claimed it was linked to that licence. I told him I’d prefer to ring back for verification, to which he assured me he'd be in touch again in five minutes. However, the number that popped up was completely different: 00141340074542, which I chose not to answer. It truly makes one wonder how we’re supposed to differentiate between genuine help and potential threats. It’s rather infuriating, to be honest...

Received a call from someone purporting to be from tech support, insisting they needed my computer details due to discovered vulnerabilities. It all felt rather dodgy to me!

Like others have mentioned, someone rang pretending to be from tech support, insisting they need access to my computer's information. They went on about potential security flaws on my system. Just a word of caution - stay vigilant!

I recently had an unsettling encounter with a chap claiming to be Martin Bruce, who I suspect is from Pakistan. He attempted to con my newly widowed mother out of £200 by falsely informing her that her computer was vulnerable. What a despicable individual!

I received a call from someone who identified himself as Martin, supposedly from the support team of my hosting provider. He insisted that I download some remote desktop application so he could "assist" me with a supposed issue on my machine. It was painfully obvious this was a scam. It took him nearly half an hour to catch on to the fact that I don’t even use Windows!

I've received calls on three separate occasions over the past few days, claiming to be from Microsoft on two occasions and once from a fraud prevention unit. The caller identifies himself as Daniel Crown, claiming to be located in Mayfair, yet his accent strongly suggests a South Asian background. He insists that my laptop is experiencing issues with Windows downloads and updates and has requested that I turn it on for him to look into the matter. Naturally, I have no intention of complying with such a dubious request!
