Got a call from someone claiming to be from Thames Water about renewing some plumbing and drainage cover thing. I’ve never signed up for anything like that! They even knew my name and where I live, which was pretty creepy. When I said I didn’t know what they meant, they just hung up on me. Total scam, sounded like a bloke speaking English. Proper annoying!

So, this whole crypto thing really raised alarm bells. They already had my email and full name, then asked for more info like how old I am. They kept on about some wallet with money I’m supposed to claim, but I don’t even own any crypto wallets I haven’t heard of. Then they tried to get me to open my bank or crypto account using AnyDesk - proper scam right there. If they ever suggest you download something or share your screen, just hang up and don’t even think twice. Absolute rubbish people. Definitely blocked the number straight away.
