Absolutely shocking! This so-called investment firm purports to be based in Switzerland, yet their registered office is actually in the Seychelles. It took quite a bit of effort to extract their website from them, which is apparently glob-markets. Interestingly, I discovered that I was signed up yesterday to receive information on investments, which I definitely did not consent to. I expressed my concerns about being enrolled without my knowledge, but they seemed utterly indifferent to my predicament. They had my full name, email address, and phone number in their records. It's either a case of data breach or they’ve sold your details to third parties. They ring you up from a UK number, and you’re met by a woman whose tone is all about being reassuring and upbeat. However, it doesn’t take long before she hastily moves things along and hands you over to a 'product specialist'. In my experience, this chap spoke quite articulately, though I couldn't help but notice a hint of an Eastern European accent sneaking through. These conversations are decidedly direct; their aim is clear: they’re after your personal information to set up an account. Naturally, I expressed my gratitude and swiftly ended the conversation. I truly question how such enterprises continue to operate in our modern age, but I suppose there will always be a handful of folks who struggle to decline.
