ALARMINGLY SKETCHY! As numerous individuals have already highlighted, this call centre, purporting to be based in Croydon, is actually situated in India. At first, they come off quite friendly, but it quickly becomes evident that they haven’t the faintest clue about their own organisation. To get any semblance of information, you get shifted to one of their so-called 'supervisors’-more like a seasoned con artist, if you ask me. No, thank you-I'm not interested, cheerio! The scam typically plays out like this: they assert that you’re registered with a firm that blocks unwanted calls, claiming that their system requires an upgrade-which, of course, would be funded by you if you let them sweet-talk you into revealing your bank details!

I received a rather dodgy call this afternoon. The person on the other end was inquiring about my phone bill reference number. It felt quite suspicious! They pretended to be from a call-blocking company, insisting that my current service was being enhanced and, of course, they ‘needed’ to confirm my account details. Definitely gave me the heebie-jeebies-sounds like a classic scam to me!
