I got a call from a company called House Maintenance, they told me they heard I have problems with damp in my house...

Someone called saying there was a damp issue at my place, which I definitely don't have. I told him it wasn’t true and he just said sorry for disturbing me. I've blocked the number now.

Picked up the phone and they just stayed quiet until I said if I was a bloke or a lass. Then this voice with an Indian accent came on asking “Hello sir or madam” but never asked for my name or anything. They were claiming to be from some housing repairs group. Since I’ve only ever lived on private property, I knew straight away it was dodgy. Got a call a few days back from 01296840367, a London number, same company doing the same scam. Definitely block these numbers if you get them ringing you!

The number showed up as a London line, and when I picked up, there was a man speaking with an Indian accent who couldn't properly answer any simple questions. He said he was from some "housing repair association." I almost burst out laughing when I asked if he worked for SevernVale housing - which, just to mention, has been gone for quite a while now - and he said yes like it was nothing. 😂😂😂 I told him, "That organisation doesn’t even exist anymore and you’re definitely not my housing group, so please don’t call me again." Honestly, it’s a scam, folks. Don’t hand over any personal details to them.

Some bloke with a proper thick Indian accent said his name was Matthew Leo and claimed he was from The Housing Repair Association. I wasn’t buying it for a second! As soon as I asked him to hang around so I could track where he was calling from, he just cut me off straight away...smh.

Got a call from someone claiming they’re experts in mould removal, but the really strong Indian accent made me suspicious straight away. Sounded dodgy to me, so I didn’t bother giving them any info. Feels like a scam to me.
