I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying my Sky breakdown cover was expired and they don’t take Direct Debit anymore, so I had to pay by phone. I said something like “Have Sky gone back in time or what?” but she didn’t get it, so I told her I wasn’t going to stick with a company stuck in the past and to cancel my account right away. Funny thing is, I don’t even have Sky! Makes me wonder if these scammers are hired specifically to trick folks in the UK or what?

Got a call from an Asian lady about my Sky breakdown cover. I always thought that Sky would just sort any issues themselves or help you on the phone, so I didn’t really see the point in it. Didn't even let her finish before I ended the call - felt like it was a scam or something!

I received a call from a chap with an Indian accent who claimed to be representing Sky, even though we don’t have any sort of agreement with them. He was eager to chat about a so-called ‘better deal’ on our breakdown insurance, which struck me as odd. He mentioned that we're supposedly paying monthly through direct debit, but apparently, he could save us a tidy sum if we opted to pay for six months or even a year upfront, all in one go. Naturally, he wanted our card details, which I promptly declined to provide. Quite the cheeky affair, really!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was ringing from Sky. The weird thing is, we don’t have Sky at all. He was banging on about some better deal for Sky’s breakdown cover, said we were paying monthly by direct debit (which we’re not), but if we paid for 6 months or a year up front, we’d save loads. Then he tried to get me to give over my debit or credit card info, but obviously I told him no way.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Alex at Sky TV telling me my breakdown cover had lapsed. I asked him to give me the policy number and when I first signed up, since mine definitely wasn’t due to expire. He kept pushing that it had, but by then I was fed up and told him to just leave me alone - maybe in a bit blunter way than that! As I’ve got a breakdown cover from D & G, I knew straight away it was a dodgy call.

Got a call from this number around 9 on a Saturday morning. At first there was loads of laughter, sounded like two people giggling away. Then an Asian gent said “Hello?” I answered, but right after that, I could hear him and a woman cracking up again. He tried saying hello one more time, but I just stayed quiet to see where it was going. Then they cut the call. Looks like they’d been having a laugh before they rang me and just couldn't stop themselves, so they had to hang up. Proper idiots.

This lady with an Asian accent called, saying my Sky cover had expired. I acted like I couldn’t hear properly and kept her waiting while I quickly searched for some Indian swear words. Found one that sounded just right - “Har-ra-mee Maa-do-chod” - so I threw it in there for laughs 😀😀😀

I got a call from some bloke claiming to be "Alex at Sky" with a strong Indian accent, telling me my Sky gear insurance was ending soon. Thing is, I just have a router, which doesn’t even have any insurance policy. I called him out and said he’s not really from Sky. He kept insisting he was. So, I asked him for my name and policy number. He claimed he could provide the policy number and then just cut the call. Proper dodgy if you ask me.

I've received numerous calls from this number, and they only allow it to ring four or five times before hanging up. It’s quite irritating, to say the least. Surely someone out there has a clue about who these bothersome individuals might be?

Got a call from some Asian bloke claiming to be from SKY, telling me my breakdown cover was running out and I'd get charged extra if I didn't sort it out straight away. Thing is, I don't even have breakdown cover - the gadget I’ve got’s older than my eldest child! They kept saying I’m paying £10.99 a month, but if I renewed now, they might lower it. When I asked them to tell me my name, they said I had to answer some security questions first. I told them "Knowing my name should be your security check." Then, just like that, they hung up on me!

Had a call from an Asian woman saying my Sky Breakdown cover had just expired at midnight, which was rubbish as I still had months to go. She asked if I knew how much I was paying for it, and when I said no, she gave me a price that was way more than what I actually pay. Then she started going on about new payment options with Sky that would supposedly lower my bill. I ended the call straight away. Not long after, the same number rang again but this time I didn’t pick up and just left it to voicemail.

Just like some of the ones mentioned earlier, I got a call from a woman who sounded Asian saying my SKY box breakdown cover needed renewing. I told her I never even had breakdown cover. She kept insisting I’d signed up for two years and now that one year was ending, they had a special offer. I asked if I really had cover with a year left, why was she bothering me now? Then she just hung up on me. After blocking the number, I phoned it back and it actually answered as SKY’s breakdown service, asking me to leave a message about my issue and press 1. That was my cue to hang up for good!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming my SKY box breakdown cover was up for renewal. I told her I didn’t have any breakdown cover with them. She insisted I’d signed up for two years and that now the first year was over, they had a special deal. I asked if that was true, why was she even calling if I supposedly had a year left? She just ended the call. I put the number on my block list and rang it back later, only to hear a message saying it was the SKY breakdown service and to leave a message for the technician. Had to hang up myself after that!

My elderly Dad got a call from an Asian bloke claiming to be from Sky, saying he needed an upfront fee to renew his breakdown cover. Luckily Dad ended the call quick smart, but then they had the nerve to ring him again! He hasn’t been a Sky customer for ages, so he sussed it was a scam right away.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying my Sky breakdown cover had expired and I needed to renew it. I went along with it for a bit, then she asked if I’d had any issues with Sky. Got a call earlier today from someone saying they were Sarah from Sky, sounded like an Asian lady. She told me my Sky insurance had expired, but I don't even have Sky, so I figured it was a dodgy scam trying to nab my bank info or something. I answered the phone, but there was complete silence on the other end. No one bothered to leave a message on my voicemail either. My number isn't listed publicly, and I've registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so I'm baffled as to why these jokers keep calling me.
