Upon picking up the call, I was greeted by a robotic male voice saying 'Hello.' I responded in kind, but almost instantly, the line went silent.

I got a call from a guy named Patrick who had a foreign accent. He was saying that Sky is changing the way they charge for insurance - before it was bundled into the subscription, but now it'll be separate and would go down from £10.99 a month to £90 a year. I told him I've never taken out Sky insurance, and if I’ve been unknowingly paying for it for like 18 years, then Sky definitely owes me a load of cash. Patrick then gave me a number, 0800 151 2747, to contact the Subscription team so I could clarify things. I haven't rung them yet though.

The call came through with nothing but silence before it just ended. I'm guessing the person calling might be using some sort of auto dialler that rings numbers at random, and when someone answers it confirms the line is active, so they can come back later. Plusnet actually lets you block the most recent caller by dialling 1572, which adds them to a blacklist. But you do need to have that call blocking feature switched on first - I think it's known as call protect or something like that.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from "Sky" telling me my insurance had expired and I needed to cough up £120 upfront for a contract I was certain I never signed. When I challenged them about it, they put me through to a manager. After I pointed out that the call seemed dodgy since I had no paperwork or proof, they just ended the call on me.

So on Saturday, 22nd June 2019, at 09:09, I got a call from a guy called Michael who was clearly not a native English speaker. He was talking about some insurance for Sky equipment. He asked me some simple questions about what equipment I had, but as soon as I said I don’t have Sky and asked how he got my number, he just ended the call. Quite strange really.

Got a call today from someone saying they were with Sky, but I’m not even a customer. I told them nicely I wasn’t interested and ended the call, felt like a scam for sure. Looked up the number here and yep, definitely dodgy. Remember when telemarketers were just trying to sell stuff legit? Those were the days.

I got a call from this number but didnt answer as I never do with numbers I don’t know or ones from strange area codes. If it’s something important, they’ll leave a voicemail. The guy tried to convince me to sign up for a new one to save money, claiming he worked for Sky Protect. Something felt off straight away.
