I got a call on my home phone from someone saying they were from BT. What freaked me out was that at the exact time, I got an OTP text from BT's usual messaging service on my mobile. Normally, you only get that after entering your regular BT password online. So it seemed like these scammers already had my password but needed the OTP to get in properly. When I asked them to prove who they were, they even told me which phone number I had registered with BT for those OTP messages. I just ended the call right away and changed my password. I've also complained to BT about their security, suggesting they should warn customers more clearly about changing passwords often, especially if their info might have been leaked.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from 'Microsoft', saying there'd been unusual stuff happening on my computer lately. Honestly, it's scary how some folks actually fall for these scammer's tricks and think they're legit.

Oh, I must say, I've been inundated with calls from 02038075755, purporting to be from BT. They keep insisting they need my email address because apparently, there's someone misusing it. It's a bit bewildering, really! I didn't share my email with the caller, as if they genuinely think there’s foul play afoot, then they surely must already have my details. It’s rather tiresome receiving these calls, isn’t it?

Seems like I've stumbled upon a dodgy caller! If you simply inquire who they're after, they tend to hang up rather quickly!

Got a call on 24/11/22 from someone saying they were with BT. They even texted me a PIN to enter into my computer. Seemed pretty legit but the voice sounded kind of like it was from India.

I picked up to hear a girl humming on the line, which stopped the moment she figured out I was actually there. She said she worked for BT Tech Support and mentioned there was some kind of issue on my account. I asked her, "What's my name?" and she just said she'd send a text to my phone instead. Obviously, she couldn't pass even a simple check, so I just ended the call and decided to block the number for a bit of peace of mind.

Someone rang saying they were from the BT Technical Team and claimed loads of different IP addresses had been messing with my BT connection, causing it to overload. They then asked me to plug in my laptop, but I told them it wasn’t a good time. After that, they wanted me to use my courtesy line, but I said no again. Then they just ended the call.
