‭020 3807 4490‬ called me pretending to be from carphone warehouse. They ask for your contract details and try pushing a new deal on you. Don’t share anything with them, it’s obviously a scam. If you go along with it, they might even ask for your bank info. Just say no!

Got a call from "Carphone Warehouse" asking about my phone model and network. When I said I wanted to talk to a manager, they just ended the call. Thing is, they were calling a business number linked to an Ofcom Investigator, and they didn’t seem to know what Ofcom was. I reported the whole thing to Action Fraud.

Got a call about a new mobile phone deal. They even worked out which network I’m on. There was loads of noise in the background, and the person on the phone spoke with a thick Hinglish accent, sounded just like those call centres in India. Couldn’t make out half of what she was saying, so I just ended the chat.

Received a call from Car Phone Warehouse asking about my mobile provider. They proposed to switch my contract to a deal that would cost me less than half of what I'm currently paying, promising unlimited everything. The initial caller was a lady from India, but her strong accent made it tricky to catch what she was saying. After that, I was connected to a 'supervisor'. He had a clearer command of English with barely an accent, but then he insisted on obtaining all my personal information. When I declined to share my banking details, I asked if he could send me the offer via email - he agreed, but then I never received anything. Seems like a scam to me!
