They claimed to inform me that my PPI claim had been sanctioned, which was utterly puzzling since I haven't submitted any claims whatsoever. Realising it was likely some sort of scam, I let the caller ramble on for what felt like ages-at least a good ten minutes! Eventually, she mentioned she would transfer me to another department, to which I simply responded, "Alright." But as the line went silent, I took the opportunity to disconnect the call. Surprisingly, they didn’t ring me again! It's infuriating how these people operate! 😡10 yearsI received a rather peculiar phone call from a firm claiming I had successfully won a PPI claim amounting to £3759. The thing is, I’ve never actually lodged a claim! The individuals on the other end, who sounded distinctly Indian, insisted that they had taken it upon themselves to file this claim on my behalf and were now en route to my residence to hand over the cash in person. However, they requested that I provide them with 10% of that amount in the form of cash vouchers from Spar, claiming they couldn't accept cash directly, as it wasn't intended for them. This whole situation has left me utterly baffled. If they're genuinely offering me cash, it must surely be dodgy or perhaps some sort of elaborate scheme since they seem intent on avoiding any form of payment for the money I supposedly won. I’m supposed to call that number once I procure these vouchers, and they’ll swing by.
