I’m pretty sure I know who rang me on this line, as he’s pulled off a massive fraud, swindling loads of cash from unsuspecting investors using a tricky scheme. He acts like he’s "Colin Purdie" from Aviva Investment Bonds, and the website he showed me had all the Aviva branding - logos, addresses and everything - making it seem legit. There really is a Colin Purdie at Aviva, but this bloke ain’t him. When I asked for his contact number, he gave me one that didn’t even exist and when I called it, there was a recorded message in Tamil with an Indian accent, followed by English. I tracked the number he called me from using BT's 1471 caller ID service.
