Got a call for my dad saying he owed almost £2k to HMRC. They told him he had to pay it all at once or in two lumps, or else he'd be arrested in 2 hours, taken to court, and face 3 years in jail. Got a ring from this number earlier, and the person on the line said they were from HMRC and that they’re suing my dad - who’s actually been dead for ages. Honestly, how nasty can people get?!

My answerphone picked up the last bit of a voicemail saying something about HMRC taking legal action against me, and if I wanted to talk to someone about it I should press 1. Didn't bother ringing back though, since I've heard those 0203 numbers are dodgy and probably scammers!

Got a call from this number earlier, and it was pretty worrying. The person on the other end claimed I owed 900 quid to the tax department and said there was a warrant for my arrest. They pressured me to pay right away over the phone, threatening to freeze my bank account if I didn’t, and warned I'd need to appear in court. They even mentioned I could face jail time for up to half a year. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Just like all the others, I got this call saying HMRC is suing me. It told me to press 1 to speak to a case officer, but the call just dropped after I did. What a rubbish scam.
