020 3807 7496 has been ringing me for a few days now, they keep saying something about the internet. I told them I’m not interested, but the woman wouldn’t stop chatting away. Then my phone started buzzing constantly and eventually switched off by itself. I was proper worried it wouldn’t turn back on, but thankfully it’s all fine now. They’ve called again but I just ignore it.

Got a call from someone claiming to be a Broadband genius promising to save me cash on broadband. Seemed genuine since they were mentioning a Shell deal that’s actually on right now. While talking, I even checked the Shell site and their savings lined up. But then the caller asked to verify me to check eligibility, which honestly made me a bit suspicious. They pushed on asking for my bank details, and I said there’s no way I’m giving that out on a phone call. The person got annoyed pretty quick. Wouldn’t recommend dealing with them.

Someone was asking for Sammy Malik - I’ve heard that name loads of times before from dodgy cold callers. I’m not sure who this bloke said he was with, but the minute I heard that name I told him it was a scam and hung up on him straight away.

Received a call and picked up, bloke claimed he was from Shell Energy Broadband. Promised me an amazing deal with internet 10 times quicker than my current one for no extra cost. As he kept chatting, I looked up the number here and checked Shell’s official site - turns out they only provide what I already got at that price, so something feels off. Couldn’t shake him off and then a parcel turned up, so I had to end the call. No follow-up calls since then.

Blocking them seems pointless as I heard you can actually get around call blocking, and I’ve had blocked numbers call me back before. Looks like there’s a trick to unblock your phone so scam callers can get through again.
