On Monday 20th May at 4:03pm, I got a missed call on my landline from someone named Miss Smith.

Received a cold call from someone claiming to be "ATC." They asked if I wanted to renew my washing machine insurance, saying it expires on 23 May. I told them I would've thought they'd give me more warning. They said they’d sent a letter on 25 April, which is total rubbish as I've never heard of them and don’t have any coverage with that company. When I asked for my policy number and a contact number to claim, the caller just promised to ring back and hung up quickly. What felt odd was that I’d just posted on Nextdoor, asking for a local repairer for my washing machine.

Some bloke called about my extended warranty, probably just another scam. Honestly, the Tories should be held accountable for letting these con artists get away with it.
